If it's any help, I will gladly foster her for a while. My four Lurchers are all very friendly and sociable. If I can help at all, please let me know.

Sorry, should have added I haven't been home checked yet by SLR. I do however foster for Lab rescue , and have fostered for American Bulldog rescue, and also home check and assess for all and sundry. Also was a homechecker and fosterer for Irish Wolfhound rescue. Three of my four Lurchers are rescues.

Angel had her final stitches out 10 days ago (22/9/09) and has been a lot better physically. Before, she was quiet and withdrawn, but now she's better she is showing herself to be quite highly strung. She's also a follower, so when she's with Pablo she's more nervous of other dogs than when she's with Jack or Honey. She is generally good with other dogs and people, but can jump out her skin at a leaf or car. I've just updated Pablo's thread and realised how few pictures we've got of Angel. Is she so pretty we subconscoiusly don't want her to go? Or is she just not as comical as Pablo? Here are a couple of photos to whet your appetite I'll be a good girl if you let me in I will, scout's honour What's that on the kitchen counter? I have big thigh muscles. They pull me over

Well, Angel had her last injections today (against parvo, etc) so technically she's ready to go - wormed and Frontlined 22/9, chipped, neutered and vaccinated.
I think I said that as her health has got better, the real Angel is appearing. Playful, cute, nosy, doesn't like being left, even with the company of another dog, but quitens down eventually and nervy. Seems to be as OK with cats as you can expect from a dog that hasn't been desensitised, but would need a proper introduction and safety measures.

As John is a little under the weather at the moment, and Viv is back at work full-time Angel has been transferred into her new foster home. Another quiet home with older hounds and fosterers Elaine and Bruce are very capable to bringing her on. John and Viv have brought her on leaps and bounds, and when I took her today she did give a little cry in the car, but soon settled. I know you will miss her loads Viv. We introduced Angel to her new buddies in the garden and down in the paddock she also said hello to Donkey (that's his name) and Elaine and Bruce's horse. Angel is living with Alfie, who was rescued earlier this year and has arthritis, Fiver who is approximately 8 years old, and Tarrie, who is now nearly 14. Another gorgeous girlie. I think Alfie was flavour of the month with Angel and they hit it off straight away. There was no point in keeping her on the lead as she had acres of ground around. She and Alfie had a lovely time and little Fiver joined in. Tarrie is not into horses so she went back home for a lie down. All went indoors for treats and then a light lunch. Alfie and Fiver showed Angel where the food came from and Angel had a little counter-surf herself just to make sure. All sofas were tried for comfort, and Angel was happy. Elaine has taken some more photos and I will post them as and when they arrive. Thank you so much Elaine and Bruce for taking Angel on until she finds her forever sofa, and thank you John and Viv for giving her the special tlc that she needed to get her to this point.

DAY 1. We went to bed at approx 22.00 and never heard a peep all night. No accidents either overnight.
She was a little wary of Bruce up until lunch time today, so he started to keeps biscuits in his pocket and tempts her with those every now and then and she is getting better with him..
Bruce has been outside on and off all day and she has been quite happy to mooch about out there with him, although she did spend quite a bit of time trying to catch a rabbit, fortunately with no luck.
I know it is very early days, but she has every signs of being a very outgoing, friendly dog. Her temperament changes the minute she starts running and enjoying herself in the paddock and her confidence has come on enormously in just one day. She will make a fantastic family dog (although don't think small children as she could knock them over with her enthusiasm).
Just one problem, and this is not Angel's fault, is we are having to put our evening glass (or two) of wine up high as she has come very close to knocking a glass off the coffee table with her ever wagging tail!!!! I think we can cope with that.
Photos to follow.
