Any news on Pablo can't wait to see if his new owners liked him, as I met them and Zena when I did their home check don't keep us in suspense John.

Pablo went to his new home yesterday ;D Frances and Kevin came around about 2 and we chatted about Pablo and Zena, then went for a walk and Pablo met all his problem areas, except we couldn't try him off lead as a football match was just starting on the village playing field. Zena and he got on together well; in fact, on the way back we heard some clay pigeon shooting that, unfortunately had Zena starting to shy but Pablo carried on regardless. We said we'd leave it 24 hours before posting the good news just in case Zena and he fell out and that is just about up. If they have to be separated, please can we have Zena, as she's a nice mature staffy/whippet cross with neat little paws not a hyperactive puppy with mud magnets. Here is a picture of the 4 of them about to go Be good, or if you can't be good be careful, Pablo Edited to add: As always, thanks to our sponsors, Burns Pet Nutrition

If they have to be separated, please can we have Zena, as she's a nice mature staffy/whippet cross with neat little paws not a hyperactive puppy with mud magnets. *screams with outrage* Mud magnets!!!! Blessed lamb was out in muddy fields in torrential rain this morning and is NOT muddy!!! And no you can't have my precious princess Pablo is definitely installed Sick in the car on the way home, straight into the garden on arrival and tangible evidence that the move had caused a runny tummy. Didn't stop him getting outside a generous serving of steamed chicken and rice. Unfortunately we had fireworks from early evening, which meant Zena retreated to her panic hole and would NOT be friends. Luckily Pablo left her to get on with it, and there were waggy tails on the rare times she did come out. Pablo was shown the bedroom, but chose to sleep downstairs in the same room as Zena. I laid awake till gone 1 waiting for sounds of chaos, destruction and murder but when I tippy toed downstairs about 5 am, I found 2 happy bright eyed lurchers - so bright eyed that they were rapidly booted out into the garden to make friends. Peace was restored until about 7, when one of then had the bright idea that this was a great time for racey-chasey up and down stairs, followed by pouncey-bouncey on the bed about 7.20. Happy to report that me and Kevin being IN bed at the time didn't cause them a problem, but Kevin and I now think we both have broken ankles due to 2 lurchers play-fighting! An hours run off lead this morning in the fields, followed by a shopping trip for some essentials. Then another run - this time in sunshine - followed by a trip to the pub. Not long before they were both asleep Home, fish and rice dinner, and Sunday afternoon snoozes. After dinner (our dinner) treat of roast chicken, roast potatoes and veg. Pablo is now snoozing again Pablo's been a sweetheart! He has excellent manners about food, both when feeding with Zena, and when we're eating - interested but not pushy. His recall off lead was much better than I'd expected on day one, and he's not pulling much on a harness . He had a mopey period last night when I think he missed his friends, but he's settling down nicely now. Photographic evidence will be provided, but as I had much less sleep than Pablo did, I'm not in a fit state to upload photos tonight! More to follow when I've caught up on sleep! Edited to add this photo as it's on my phone, and therefore handy. The little love settling in last night Also edited to officially announce his change of name to Ianto (pronounced Yanto)

You know what they say Frances, if you can't take a joke don't take a Lurcher. Hope you get some sleep tonight. Pablo is probably oblivious to the fact Be good Pabster. And get well soon John. Thank you and Viv for all your hard work on both Pablo and Angel.

Ianto (equivalent of Johnny in Welsh) is a lovely name for a lovely boy. We should have said that he was well mannered about food and I'm glad the off lead exercise showed what we couldn't on Saturday; he does like treats and sqeaky toys if you need distractions.
