I am deadly serious....there is a big empty space here for a full on girlie. I'm used to the full on lurcher antics and my house is so calm and quiet without her. I'd love to foster with a view to failing !!
Hope to hear from you. This might be THE ONE !!!

Twiggy has had a bit of a journey in the last few days. But yesterday she joined my grumpy old Milo and my sweetly playful China girl to make 3. This is a foster....so Twiggy can get to grips with home life. She is a pocket rocket of energy. Nick name pepsi max... Milo is teaching her manners, though she hasn't needed to learn many. She has been fine with food. Walked beautifully with Milo and China, but hasn't seen stairs before and wouldn't go onto the beach as it involved stairs. However she has now gone up the stairs once or twice in the house and realised what they are for. She had a couple of insecure moments in the night but otherwise slept through. She slept on a little bed beside my bed with my hand on her. She took it on board straight away that she wasn't allowed on the bed. After the tear ups with China in the garden I'm not surprised she was utterly exghausted. She's a firebrand of pure irish energy in a dinky :-*compact case. Cottage rescue please know she's having a whale of a time. She has probably run a mile in the garden this morning. One scary moment when I thought she was going to smash into the greenhouse. I've now blocked it off with barrier. It's like having a toddler all over again. This pic was taken after she'd been in the house for two hours and they had sorted out pecking order I'll try to take more when she sits still !!!

Thank you so much for the update Laura. And relieved here that Twiggy can finally unpack her bags and relax for a while. Thank you Milo for being so accepting, and China for showing her the ropes

Twiggy is slowly relaxing. I can see the tension going out of her body... I can't get any action shots they are moving too fast She is loving and lovely but still a little nervy...but that will go as she realises nothing awful is going to happen. She is a fascinating little girl. Very interesting and bright. I'd love to know what she is thinking. I'm loving fostering...it is really fascinating watching a dog unwind and connect without having to protect themselves...

She really is a lovely little girl and it was just a question of the right dynamics in the home with the current dogs.
Whenever I bring a new dog in, meeting on mutual ground first, and then in. My Elly will kill every new little one for the first 3 days, and then she can't be bothered anymore, once she has told them where and when they can do everything.
Please Laura, don't wear her out too much. ;D ;D ;D

Here you go...by the way are these lovely collars available to buy from SLR with your dogs name on it? I want one. She is very hard to photograph as she doesn't stay still long enough

Dream dog... She loves my daughter. Twiggy is one of those cracking dogs you dream about. Playful, funny, loving, clean in the house !!! (already) Sleeps through the night. Who needs recall when she doesn't leave your side!!! Though haven't been on the beach yet. She is too nervous of the waves. Besides she is learning so many other things I'm not rushing her with the beach. She is one in a million and pictures don't do her justice. She has a look of a little baby babboon and it isn't captured on film yet. But she is so funny and the children next door can't get enough of her either. She has been cuddling them for an hour at a time. I just cannot get a decent photo of her as she will not stand back or stand still long enough. She is still a puppy in her heart and mind. xx
