So today was a big day, Hope got to meet all my parents pack, she behaved impeccable, little nervous but then there was a lot to contend with.
We tried not to make it too traumatic so we only stayed a couple of hours but she did have a good game with Tilly one of the Labs.
Tomorrow will be a bit longer together.
So far though all looks good !!

Good to read initial introductions to parents and their pack went well. WTG Hope. A family Christmas to look forward to tomorrow. It is amazing the difference a few weeks can make in the life of a rescued lurcher. xx

I love the way that Hope and Soldier are already snuggling up and sharing a bed. And that is a grade A roach.

I love the way that Hope and Soldier are already snuggling up and sharing a bed. And the dog bed is a King Charles Spaniels bed, Hope decided she would curl herself into it and then Soldier decided to join here, I'm still not sure how they both fitted Rommi LOL

Lovely photos. Looks like Hope and Soldier are besties already. X We are besties for almost everything but Soldier is a little jelious when it comes to sharing daddy cuddle time, to be honest that is not unexpected and we are working on that. Generally though it’s going well.

Great to see that Hope obviously enjoyed her Christmas Day in Hampshire, & that she & Soldier are getting along, albeit he is a tad green-eyed at the attention she's getting from his Dad.

Time for another little update on Hope, she spent Christmas Day and Boxing day round with my parents pack, starting of a little nervous but not afraid to get in there if there was food, By boxing day we were starting to get into the swing of it and have proved that we can go from a standing start and jump over 3 large dogs to get to the couch and initiate games. We have also started to discover toys, much to soldier disgust, we spend quite some time with hope collecting toys and taking them to the couch where soldier then collects them back and returns them to the doggy play area. Soldier is getting better with sharing daddy cuddles although that is still the area we are working on. They for sure love careering around and playing together it's just that one bit that soldier is a little stubborn about. As the second I go out of sight there is absolute chaos sofa throws all over the place cushions everywhere, I decided that a crate was a good idea for when I have to go out soldier is used to crates when he stays at my parents, I was not sure about Hope though, so I took the dog bed in the office and popped it in a crate, (then because I'm stupid like that) sat in it for 10 mins with her. She showed no signs of being at all worried about it. Later that afternoon I had to do a couple of hours work so I went to the office, Hope wandered in straight into the crate and curled up to sleep, at some point in the next 5 mins soldier wandered in as well and decided to join her. Today we will work on crate with the door shut and nobody in the room. Here are a few pictures and Videos of Hopes continuation

She’s a cheeky little girl and confident. It’s really nice to see them playing and their relationship growing
