Love this girl. She is so loving and soppy x And still sounds like a pony going up the stairs! LOL. I just put a fleecy jacket on her for the cold night forecast and this is her cue to gallop up the stairs and take up residence in Harpo's bed on the landing! This has become a nightly routine. Please don't feel sorry for Harpo, he gets downstairs and the two sofa's to himself for the night.

Ha ha, we were only talking this week about the way Zia went from bottom step to top step in a second! I’m sure she takes 4 steps at a time 😊

She is doing really well Jenny. Time and patience have and continue to produce results.
She is so good in the house and hardly a peep out of her when I leave her at home alone now. Her confidence at home is such she will take herself off to a bed in the other room or upstairs regularly and is no longer my constant shadow - unless there is a possibility of food! Zia's confidence meeting new dogs has slowly increased in the last two months, although still a way to go. This is something we continue to work on daily and at the weekly dog socialisation classes we attend at the Dog Trouble Centre.
She is in really good condition now and so fast and agile. Harpo cannot catch her even in the cornering. Zia loved the snow and I took some photos and shall upload some if I can. I think she might have some Sloughi in her mix? (As her name is Arabic for light that would be apt.)
She is such a sweet affectionate hound and I am sure will bring much joy to her forever home. xx

Great to hear how well Zia is doing. It does take a little while for nervous hounds to find their confidence, but it sounds like you and Harpo are doing a super job with Zia. Looking forward to seeing the snow-play pics.

A happy day. Zia has moved to her new home. Her lovely forever family live only a few miles from Harpo and I. This has afforded us the opportunity for them to get to know Zia, go on walks with us and be involved with her training. They are the perfect family for Zia and have the love, commitment and patience to help this beautiful, sweet, affectionate girl continue to build her confidence and blossom to her full potential. Although for me there was a tinge of sadness in saying goodbye, we plan to keep in touch and proximity means that once settled hopefully we shall see Zia again. Once Zia was home she did not take long finding her new bed - Kevin sent me a lovely photo which I shall load later. A lovely bit of serendipity to end with. Zia shares her Gotcha Day with Gemma, her original SLR foster sister.

Well done to you, Sarah for fostering her & helping her to become ready for a new life & forever home. Doubt Harpo will mind some peace now, no more thundering noises up & down the stairs.

Well done Sarah (and Harpo too of course) on a superb fostering job. Be happy in your new home Zia.
