Oh wow, she's looking so grown up and beautiful! Thank you for the update, I love hearing how the pups are getting on and seeing them get bigger! It sounds like she's fitting in perfectly and having a blast
Oh Margey, thank you for such a lovely update, she is so beautiful and I am so happy that she has found you and such a lovely home. Esther is very similar, very vocal and confident and gives my poor old deerhounds a right old runaround, although Ralph seems to have a new lease of life with her around. House training is a bit hit and miss with dreadful wet weather, but I think we're getting there. A bit of a handful aren't they??? You are doing the most amazing job with the little love, I still miss them all and think about them so much. Thank you, please give her kisses from me.... xx
So difficult to belive that it is 4 months since I picked up beautiful Bella (aka Bella Boo). Bella is adorable (most of the time) and everyone falls in love with her eyes and floppy ears. She is very greyhoundy -very long body and already weights in at 17.70 kilos. She had her spay 2 days ago and came through that fine and is raring to go chasing again. She has a buster and moon collar to stop her chewing her stitches as her neck is so slim and her nose long and is coping very well, even if rather bewildered by it all. She has been allowed to run free since she arrived so she is finding being grounded a bit hard She loves to play and lick the others and unfortunately they are frightened and wary of the buster collar and how she keeps wacking it on them so they are avoiding her, which is making her a little sad. Only 9 days to go though! She is such a good girl in many respects - has always slept through the whole night; been almost 100% clean in the house; loves her food; loves her cuddles; loves the whole pack and runs and plays all day long - however, the teething has been a problem. Rudi destroyed the framework of the house when a puppy, Bella has gone for the consumables. In the space of 10 days recently she destroyed a sofa (I was in the kitchen and thought she was a bit quiet - it was only 10 minutes and the kitchen door was open - and she had chewed a big hole in the arm and pulled out a huge mound of foam. Then there are the dog beds - if she can get at the stuffing, then it becomes her task to get it out. Worse one was filled with beans and I had a conservatory full of while balls that are difficult to pick up - rather like polystyrene. We were doing some gardening when she did that one. She is very active and can keep up with big dogs, usually goading them to chase. She does not jump over things but does jump into the air and I am usually her target. If I am out in the garden she will appear from nowhere and jump at me, sometimes nearly knocking me over. I was picking something up and she jumped onto my back When I open the bedroom door in the mornings, she leaps out and goes straight for my face and then does not stop jumping - with joy. The others try to get out of the way and it is a bit chaotic! I am trying everything to get her out of it but it is going slow. She is not afraid of anything, at home or in the garden, and does not seem to sense danger. Different when she is out as then she is very wary. The biggest surprise was witnessing her just walk up the side of the poly tunnel (it is agricultural size and about 15 metres tall) and run along the roof. However not amusing as her weight is weakening the covers and the inner plastic has suffered. I had planted flower plugs and she has ruined so much cover that I only have a few feet at the entrance where I can shield the new plants from the weather. I am torn between admiration and frustration She took a fancy to snails for a few days, but thank goodness that did not last. She does enjoy the chase of a small beetle though. She is an outside girl, just like Winnie, and they are usually great mates - however Winnie has defected to Rudi whilst Bella has the buster collar on and Rudi just runs a mile everytime he sees Bella. She has a great understanding of moods and tones of voice and her very expressive eyes tell you quite a lot. If she was human - all the boys would be beside themselves. There follows a mix of pictures of the past few months. Please enjoy! Love Margey

What a lovely update Margey, Bella boo clearly has a wonderful life and home with you. She sounds somewhat naughty though and I am rather (selfishly) comforted to hear this as Esther pester is extremely naughty as well.
I sometimes despair, although she can be such a delight and I can't stay cross with her for long. Everyone loves her.
She also has a great loving for stuffing and has had a go at one of my sofas. She is also very confident at home, but a bit nervous elsewhere.
Very best wishes and good luck. Love Lesley xx
Fingers crossed that they suddenly grow up and start behaving.

It has been a struggle getting enough internet speed to upload photos for Bella's first birthday, but today I managed it. Bella is a real character, only about 24 inches at most but very long girly legs - very greyhound. Very bold and mostly fearless and another outdoor girl like Winnie. Bella is missing Brucie Boy and Rudi but has turned to Winnie and the daxies to satisfy her need for running and play. She loves cuddling up to the daxies, but they are not so keen and usually move however they are often to be seen licking and kissing each other. Poor Winnie is run ragged by Bella, who is usually attached to Winnie's collar by her teeth and pulling her where she wants to go, but Winnie bears it stocially and they play for hours in the paddock and the gardens. Bella is still rather jealous of attention given to others but is learning slowly that this is a pack and not a solo venture. She is a people jumper, and particularly with me. If any of you remember the Peter Sellers' Inspector Clueso films, Bella is Cato, the Chinese man servant who attacks Peter Sellers at every opportunity. Bella goes loopy when she sees me and even after I run the gauntlet after getting up, she follows me everywhere (and appears from nowhere it seems) and in the garden she will jump on my back .................... She has been a manic chewer and a lot of dog beds bit the dust as well as cushions and a sofa however she has settled into manic chewing of Antler stag bars and not so much of the soft furnishings. She is often to be seen bringing in huge branches that have fallen from the old trees in the garden and decimating them in the conservatory and bringing in stones as big as half bricks ............................ No dead of half dead animals though, thank goodness. The postman loves her and she licks him to death over the farm gate. She can be picky over food but generally eats well, and often! Loves toys but never tried her near any water yet. She still has her gommit ears and piercing, inquisitive eyes. We love her to bits. xxxxxxxxx
