Brilliant updates!!! Gracie is indeed a very beautiful girl, and I am more than a little pleased to hear that she is settling well with you. I think Snoopy must have had a little whisper in Jasper's ear when they met - Snoopy can't bear it when any of the others are playing and screeches at them!!!

I can't believe Grace has been here 5 weeks already! She continues to do well and has made herself truly at home :-) She and Jasper get on well most of the time, especially when they're out:
She's more relaxed with people when we're out than if they visit us at home, but she's still doing better than I thought she would. She really enjoys her walks and gets excited in the car on the way out these days too.
She loves her cuddles and her sofa time :-) Say cheese Gracie!

Well, it's 6 weeks now and Jasper is starting to realise that Gracie is not just here for a holiday! He's taken to reinforcing his position as top dog by making sure he gets to choose which bed he sleeps in, keeping his favourite place on the sofa even if Gracie wants it and making sure he gets his own fair share of attention. Grace doesn't always like it but seems to accept it
When Grace first arrived she was very strong on the lead and I had to resort to a halti to be able to manage her. She gradually got used to walking with me, and last week was quite happy to trot along on a slack lead (unless provoked by a squirrel or a deer, and I can forgive her that!). She was so good, I gave her the chance to walk on an ordinary lead and all is going well. I don't know if you can see it clearly in this photo, but that's a slack lead
When things are quiet I've given her the chance of a good run, which she really enjoys. She's been so good at coming back after zoomies and so good on the lead this week that I decided to try letting her off from the start of the walk in the mornings when there's no one about, and she has been really great. She never goes too far and always wants to know where we are, and after a couple of good runs is happy to walk with me. When she first arrived it was all about getting to the next thing as quickly as possible, but now she happy to sniff the sniffs and see what's about:
She doesn't like the muzzle though and I am sporting a number of bruises from where she head butts me to try and get it off! She also rubs it along the ground, but nothing works! So, if you can't get it off, camouflage it!
We've had lots of lovely walks, but I don't often get many pictures having to juggle leads et al. These are Gracie and Jasper admiring the view across the Wash towards Lincolnshire:
She's very adept at rearranging things so that she is as comfortable as possible:
It's tea time and Gracie is making it quite clear she's not happy about me still tapping away when her dinner should be ready!
