Hi, it was my parents that had to unfortunately rehome Emma/Gemma. It was a really hard decision with lots of tears shed. I have followed this thread, with even more tears, but the see her enjoying herself with the other dogs whilst being fostered and then to see her rehomed with a lovely family with young children has made me realise that it was the right decision. She will have a great time with her new family and pocket rocket is definitely the right nickname for her!

Please reassure your mum and dad that she seems to be very happy. she is so trusting of everyone, you can tell that she has come from a very loving home. I really hope they find it in their hearts to adopt one of the older sofa lovers that appear on SLR so often because they are clearly wonderful pet owners. Although Gemma loves the sofa she is a busy girl as well!

It's great to hear she's settled in well, she loves the sofa! Mum & Dad are on holiday at the moment but will be pleased to see the pictures & read the updates when they get back. Give her a big hug from me tonight xx

I get regular updates from Gemma's Mum on facebook. She is doing brilliantly and they are all very much in love with her. In fact Gemma's Mum overheard her son talking to Gemma in the lounge the other day, he said " Do you know what Gem, you are the best thing that has happened to me in my whole life". I dare you not to be welling up with a big grin on your face after reading that. A recent pic of Gemma xx

She looks so happy and settled. I always imagine her as one of those hounds like Scruffster who always has to be into whatever you are doing, helping out and just generally getting involved. Great ear in that last pic.

these are lovely photos, and doesn't she look gorgeous. It's always lovely to get updates and see how they are growing so tell them thank you! I find I still can't look at the photos of Lenny as I still get very tearful, but all the others who have found their perfect forever home brings great pleasure.
