Little Paddy was on best behaviour, politely said hello. The cats were in charge, and although he barked at one of them he didn't move for Paddy. But alas Roxy did not want to have a little upstart in her space. She told him so a couple of times, and then again in the garden. It may be that he is very collie like and a collie round the corner has upset her a few times. But her body language was not at all comfortable, and she went to each owner in turn for reassurance. Perhaps an older dog for her, around the age of 4, which has calmer tendancies than a little poopie.
A lovely home for the right dog though and we won't give up on them. Paddy was sick on his way again, so the car sickness needs working on. He is none the wiser that that may have been his forever home. And has just scoffed down his dinner, at bit late.

Oh well, nothing ventured - nothing gained....and at least he was ok with the cats. Hopefully that home will find it's perfect hound, and Paddy will soon find his perfect home.

Paddy has now progressed to unravelling mats! Oh we'll, an excuse to get new ones. His collie traits are coming out. He now stalks the others as the come in from the garden. Down low and then pounces.

Paddy is just adorable. Having been in hospital for a few days I was dreading coming out to 7 bouncy dogs. They all, including Paddy have settled in the bedroom with me. Paddy is such a good boy. Hardly has any accidents indoors now. He waits by the patio doors and cries to go out. He sleeps in his bed in the corner of the room all night. We can't fault him

Little Paddy and his big foster sister Annie are staying with me for a few days to give Jenny slightly less to worry about while she is recovering from her op. The first thing to say is that Paddy is a gorgeous, very well socialised pup. He is a typical pup, very playful and loads of energy, but once he has had a long walk or plenty of time outside he starts to relax and just seems to spend his time mooching about, sleeping and occasionally annoying the others with his 'play with me please' look. He has slept downstairs with Annie. He gave two whines the first night when we left with him (which I ignored) but he has been very good since and sleeps all night until I go down and wake them all up in the morning. I look after my 18 month old grand daughter on a Friday, so yesterday was able to see how Paddy is with kids. Tilly is very at ease with dogs and also very respectful of them. Obviously I watch them all the time, but Paddy was brilliant with her, no friendly snapping, growling or anything just very well behaved. So I think we could safely say he would enjoy a home with children. A few photos of this lovely pup. Paddy playing with Meggie Playing with Tilly

Oh bless. Thank you so much Elaine. I am missing him but being so sore I know I can't deal with the constant play with Annie.

Paddy settled back into the fold so easily. This one adaptable little lad but I have noticed that he does miss the other dogs if he doesn't have them with him, so he will need a playmate. He went out onto the field yesterday with Michael. Michael didn't feel brave enough to let him off so kept him on the 25 metres lead and he had some fun. Little video below. Sorry about the wind, but our camera is noise sensitive. Click on the photo to play. Today Auntie Carole came to do some Admin with me. Paddy ran out to greet her like a long lost friend and ran indoors with us. I didn't give him the option to run around, but I don't feel he will wander off. He is a loyal little man.
