Buddy has a fan club. Came back today to check on him....loving the bed pic. I now have a pure fascination for lemon brindle rough coats. It won't be long for this chap to find a sofa. He ticks a lot of boxes.

Well he arrived back here about half an hour ago. He's met our two without incident - and scent marked profusely in the garden. He's now lying on the sofa looking very interested in the cake we are having with a cup of tea! He has counter surfed in the kitchen briefly but got down when told. He's panting like mad, and obviously wondering what is going on, but I'm sure he will settle in a few days. Our two are sulking now though.

We didn't get back till 10.45 , we did go round Ikea quickly and Alex had McDonalds for dinner. I really got upset when Buddy went off, Even though he was only here for a day he was so past caring when I picked him up and so much better by the time we had to get in the car to leave even after his bath and suffering the injection and Microchip at the Vets. I can't wait to see him blossom under Sara's care. I didn't take many pic's of Buddy I was too busy settling him in but here are a couple to keep you/me going: Looking for the birds at Lakeside Mia was so pleased to see us when we came back she tried to play noisy lurcher games with Jazz and when I told them it was too late she ate a hole in my matress! It's the first thing she/s really chewed, Well I needed a new one anyway.

Thanks for driving all that way Christina. It was nice to meet you. Don't worry about Buddy - he has cheered up and was almost playing with Max in the garden this morning. He settled in his crate fine when we went to bed, but started whining after a couple of hours, so I took him out for a wee - just in case. He then settled down again for the rest of the night, and didn't wake until 6.30am when he and Max went outside for a wee. Then they both came back for a snuggle on the bed. He's now lying down patiently waiting for his breakfast, and after that they will all go out for a walk on lead to settle them together. Cleo can't bear him to be near her at the moment and is constantly growling at him when he comes too close. He backs off instantly and is very respectful. He's such a quiet boy - you would hardly know he is here! Here's a couple of photos of him in the garden this morning.

He's been booked in for his "little operation" next Tuesday. He is so calm and gentle. He was perfect on the walk - loose lead at all times, never any pulling. He's now lying quietly on his bed in the living room. He has done one slightly naughty thing. Tony thought he had gone in to the kitchen for a drink, but he went in to counter surf and got half a loaf of bread. ;D But that is easily remedied by keeping a watchful eye on him near food.

Have a lovely time fostering this lovely boy Sara - and good on you all for making his transition fast and loving, the SLR way of course! We had some low growls towards Kirk in the early days that have settled, mind you he gives as good as he gets! He has a really deep and loud bark for such a little fella Love Margey

Buddy has been clean in the house so far and has just endured another bath with tea tree shampoo to soothe his sore skin. He's very hungry all the time, so we fed them all half their evening meal at about 3.30pm. He was pacing about and trying to see what was around in the kitchen. He loves his food, has no issues about me moving the bowl when he is eating, and doesn't try to eat from Cleo and Max's bowls until they have finished. More photos: Starting to relax on the sofa: Handsome boy!!
