Esme seems much happier today:) Hopefully the antiBs are doing the trick, but we'll keep an eye on her. As requested some more pics! Playful Esme Esme in her new jumper (are you sure it's not lunchtime yet?)..... Cuddling up on a cold and snowy morning..... Attempting to get a photo of the christmas hounds

A very sad Vaila and Ewan dropped in for a visit today and left Esme here. They have done a remarkable job with little Esme, and she is such a lovely little dot. But, as much as they tried they couldn't stop Aalto from being heavy handed in his exhuberance in play, and trying to bring Esme down by her legs. After much heart searching it was felt that it was not fair on Esme to have to protect her from Aalto's advances. He is a little sprocket poppet, and loves to play, but a little too rough for a dainty elderly girlie. I can't thank Vaila and Ewan enough for fostering Esme. She has settled back into routine easily, and Elly has accepted her back in again.

Yes, it is a shame because they looked so nice together.......... However, all credits go to Vaila and Ewen who have done such a fantastic job with little Esme and brought her on so well. Hope little Aalto will not miss his little girlfriend too much.......... Viviane. X

The house feels awful empty this evening. We really wish little Esme could have stayed, but we really felt that it wasn't fair on Esme to have to cope with our little hooligan hound I know she couldn't be in a better place than with Jenny, although I do feel so guilty that poor Jenny has so much on her plate

Please don't feel guilty about having to send little Esme back to Jenny again, Vaila. This decision must have broken your heart, but you did the right thing for her. Little "hooligan" Aalto is a young hound, he will get calmer and settle down as he gets a bit older. Feel safe in the knowledge that you have been little Esme's rescue angel at a time she needed you most and if she could she would say a big "thank you" to you both. (( Hugs )) Viviane. X

This little old lady is incredible. She has settled back into the family like she had just been away for a few days. Snuggled in her camp bed and Tog 10 duvet last night and out for the count. She is a foodie and if you are kind and give her lovely food she will follow you to the ends of the earth. I love her little piglet jig that she does whilst waiting for dinner. She and Miss Elly have had a lovely walk sniffing all the same places and waiting in turn to christen each other's spots I think Elly rather likes having an oldie around her. She is booked in at the vets today as she is still rubbing her face on the floor more than she should, and yep Vaila, she did the pulling up of the leg as well, so I'll get it checked out too. I am sure Vaila and Ewan won't have to wait long for the next little foster to come in.

Oh Gosh I've only just caught up with this. So sorry Vaila - I'm sure you must be gutted ((((hugs)))) from me. Jenny, Esme is always welcome here if you've got your hands full nursing Ellie and possibly having Cai over Christmas as well. Maybe she and Judy could gang up on Skippy and put the young whippersnapper in his place

I will. She is adorable and no trouble at all. We just need to get her a bit fitter and get her ear infection sorted out before she can go in for the lump removals and biopsies.

Look just how much life has changed for the better since she's been under SLR's care, Jenny. Hoping her biopsies will be good results for this very sweet little lady ........ Viviane. X
