Thanks all for the input today. What a horrendous journey down to Red Hill and onthe way back we had stop start because of several car pile ups on the M.25 on the other side. I have never seen so many pile-ups. We pulled into the services and had some lunch at 2 p.m. Finally got home at 3 p.m. The car was playing up and likes to judder at 70 at the mo! Why oh why when they pass the M.O.T. does something else play up Alfie has the loveliest nature, and I am sure all who meet him will fall in love with him. Best of all thanks to Nikki and Adrian for their unstinting devotion to him. I know it was a wrench to let him go. We all love you Alfie. xx

Many thanks once again to Jenny for arranging everything also & to Kate for taking in Alfie, Wipuki (Donna..?) for helping making it happen, Sallybeth for the support & everyone else at SLR.
We will miss the little lad forever. He's always got a home here if needed....
Not going to post much more just right now. but thanks once again to everyone for making today happen.

Ade he has settled really well and is a very good boy .... as I type he is curled up next to me He has a big day ahead of him tomorrow - so will let you know how it all goes - Indy absolutely adores him and Alfie adores him a bit toooooo much (if you know what i mean ) He will stay here now until he finds his forever home .... and it will only be the best of the best Kate xxxx Just to add he seems fine with my male cat, he barks a bit at him but backs off very quickly - he has walked past him a few times now and just ignored which is a great sign. He is definately cat trainable so this will help with his adoption.

Well he rested for about an hour and thought that was way too boring Walked him slowly round the block, gave him chicken for tea and now he has finally settled. Forgot to say, he slept in the playroom last night with Indy (no crate needed) and didnt wake till 7.30am this morning - PERFECT

Forgot to say, he slept in the playroom last night with Indy (no crate needed) and didnt wake till 7.30am this morning - PERFECT He likes a lie-in! He was most put-out on the days we had to wake him at 6am if I was driving Nikki to the station. We never crated him at night, he's very well-behaved at nighttime. Good to know he's somewhere so loving & with human AND doggy company. Someone somewhere is going to get a great little pup.

Stitches - what stitches ... Poo doesnt even know they are there, so sod the resting he wants to play ...... (his thoughts not mine) He is still a very good boy at night but he does need to be crated whilst you pop out during the day as he decides to play with the other dogs !!!!!!!! No comment ..... Its funny though he isnt known as Alfie here, just Poo Pants - he even comes to the name 'Poo' - bless him. Will update more pics on the weekend - he is going for a sleep over at Aunty Jeans on Saturday as i am going out in Ampthill for the evening - typical i never go out until i get a foster dog in I hope he behaves for Jeans girls Kate x Oh just to add, walked him up the school this evening to meet the children - he behaved perfectly .... he sat when told and let all the children come up and smooth him - he loved it
