I have had a phone call tonight from a well meaning member of the public who has brought down a bitch from Buntingford, who was going to be shot after weaning her litter. The lady has tried to place the dog with a lovely retired lady in Harlow, but she pulls on the lead and the lady is in her late 70's and not coping too well. We have been asked if we will take the bitch in. She is approximately just a year old!!! A lovely fawn girlie and sweet but timid at the moment. The lady is willing to hold onto her for a day or so. Her own dog died last week. Do we have anyone who can foster her? I am going over to photograph her tomorrow and see what I can do to help, but unless we can get a foster place.... I just don't know.

My heart has just broken I so wish we could help out, but if someone down South can foster her we could always collect her with Ollie and pass her on to the foster family. Gilly x

I am going over today to visit and take photos. She is safe for a day or so with the lady. Barney has offered, but I think he needs a break. The lady has said that she is a lovely lovely girlie, golden and smooth.

Aww poor little mite. I wish I could help but Penny is a moody mare, Baxter is bouncy and I'm going back to school soon. Hope she finds somewhere.

You all know me I got to the house and a lovely but 89 year old lady answered the door. Poor Angel, as we have named her, was skittish and hiding anywhere she could. Once I sat down to her she settled and with a few biscuits came over for a cuddle. I couldn't leave this poor lady to try to manage. She had tried to take her out earlier, but has some back problems and, bless her, she walked her but it was so difficult. So... I have another in the house today. I say I have named her Angel as she is just that. She is gentle, very dog friendly, starting to trust us and a quiet little girlie. She has been clean in the house and good on the lead. I have a vet appointment in a while and will get her scanned. I will contact Dog lost and Lurcher Search also, just in case this little Angel has been stolen, bred and disposed of. She has sore and possibly infected nipples, multiple small scars to her back legs, a smelly discharge from her vulva. In all this, she is gentle and loving. And not food aggressive. She is just a little on the lean side, but not worryingly, which leads me to believe that she may have been someone's much loved pet. She has a distinctive part of her that only an owner would be able to describe. Doglost have been contacted and we will log her with Lurchersearch next. If she isn't a lost/stolen dog we still need a gentle laid back foster home for a little Angel.

She is an absolute joy to have here. She has integrated with our tribe and is starting to play bow with Tag. She has a uterus infection from having the pups and is on A.B's but she is so so so so lovely. She is settling well here, despite it being a manic household. I would dearly love her to get into a quieter foster home so that she can have some rest and TLC. Her nipples are quite swollen, looks like she had more than about 8 pups. She is only about 15 months old. Also, she has quite a bad sore cut on her foot which will also be addressed by the A.B's. She is not at all food aggressive, but does want an dneed her food. She is a countersurfer purely because she is still hungry. She has the heart of an angel and is very gentle. A little boy at the vets put his face straight to hers and before I could explain that we didn't know how child friendly she was she was wagging at him and sniffing all of his face. She has met a guinea pig tonight at the vets and didn't wince at all when Anil checked her temperature and microchipped her. On the way home from the vets Angel put her nose on my shoulder as I drove and I kissed her and she licked me. HOW ON EARTH CAN THESE LOVELY DOGS TRUST ANYONE :'(AGAIN.
