Delighted to hear that he's back home safe & sound. The lad will bounce back from the op very quickly Dave - these Lurchers are very resilient.

Barney Glad to hear your little boy is back home again. You can trust our uncle Barney, Dave, he's had many many lurcher boys in his care after their operation - including my little Elmer - and they were ALL fine soon afterwards. Rest assured we're all thinking of you giving you every support you need - JUST SHOUT!! Viviane. X

Pleased to hear Bilbo is doing well, at least he's got his appetite back! It's always an anxious time until they've really got over the anaesthetic but after a good night's sleep he'll be his old self!! x

Its 6 .3O AM Im a bit worried now, after being up half the night with bilbo panting and not drinking any water, i finally coaxed him to drink some water at about 3.30 am, we then both went to bed and i being a bit nackard must have gone into a deep sleep as i didn't hear this. Jimbo woke me up. Walking blind down the hall way i was stepping into odd bits and pieces, i switched the light on BILBO had been on his first food dustbin raid in the kichen and eaten the cooked chicken carcase that i threw away last night, and i know you should never give them chicken bones.Do you think it will pass through him ok. He also had his first indoor pee on the carpet in the living room. He must have been anxiety stressed out. Dave.

Hi Dave Norty Bilbo Maybe it worth giving the vets a ring Mine lot have done this before and it has been fine, but as he had an anesthetic yesterday things on the inside might not be working as normal Fingers crossed he will be fine

Yes, Dave, just ring your vet and tell them what's happened to put your mind at rest. Hope little piglet Bilbo will be fine and you are not going to experience an explosion in the marmite factory - oh dear....... !! Viviane. X

The wee is due to the anaesthetic. They need to go more often. The panting is also due to the anaesthetic. Give water via a syringe every half an hour tomake sure he keeps his fluids up. The dustbin, down to not having had a bin raider for several years. I would just give the vet a ring and mention it. Also I would give him some wet food, tinned, like chappie to get his digestive system working. Feed him 4 times today, wet food each time, no harm in giving a little extra. If he is going to suffer from the chicken bones it will be around lunchtime. We did mention our NO RETURNS policy didn't we. Hope little Bilbo perks up soon.

Pleased to hear the lad's swiftly getting back to Lurcher ways Dave. There is now a big weight on the lid of the waste food bin so hopefully it wont happen again. To save rupturing yourself lifting heavy weights on & off the bin you could try inverting a refuse sack over it, summat that's done the trick with a couple of my bin-raiding fosters.
