Here is Elly earlier this summer, winning a special award for the hound rescued in the last twelve months who has made the most progress (blubbing supporters just out of shot!):
And here she is in all her winning glory
Edited to add: you can see Waggersmum (in black) and Charlie (of the incredible ears) and Fredd taking piccies, over to the right, too.
This is probably Ellys last winter. But at the great old age of 12 this girlie can shake it and move it with the youngsters. Snow is her favourite thing in the world. So, just 2 piccies of Elly in the snow and a video. The coat was donated by a greyhound rescue. She loves her coat. ;D

Although new on this site, having read her story and all the writeups, you feel like you have actually got to know Elly personally and it is wonderful to see all the lovely pictures of her enjoying her life to the full :)x
Lovely piccies and video. They really do love the snow. Bran had a silly five minutes in the back garden this afternoon, but unfortunately no batteries in my camera. Typical.
Mad old lady alert! Taken yesterday: a bit of a grainy photograph because it was a dark day and Elly is a fast moving object (!). But she looks very happy.
Lovely piccie of that grand lady Elli, Jules, you've captured her at the right second! She is so adorable and it's great seeing her enjoying her life so much, she could not possibly be any happier...........
(Must admit, I just love, love, love this girl!!! )
That was approximately 30 seconds before she tried to take Sui's head off You have to love her though as she will take no prisoners and not be messed about by anyone.
She is going senile now! She forgets where we are on walks and takes off home alone at approximately 30 miles an hour. She also can't see too well so doesn't see obstacles in her way when she is running so runs through things like bushes, fighting her way through as she goes.
She has taken to come up for cuddles and kisses, which she has never accepted before.
I wish she could have new legs at the back and muscles, but there is nothing we can do. She is just wearing out. I am about to creep up and take a photos of her snoozing. Hang on....... Sweet dreams Miss Elly..

Jenny, the way you are describing Miss Elli brings back very fond memories of our great deerhound "grandad" Bonny who was very similar to Elli, and we are beginning to realise that time never stands still. And as we realize this it makes our "Oldies" even more special, because they have grown so much on our hearts. And it is the same with old people we care for, we know deep inside they are beginning to loose sight, their bones are getting creaky and they take things at a slower pace than they used to. But as long as they are happy, we are happy as well, and we treasure every single day with them as they gently let us know how much they love us and enjoy being with us, even if things go at a much slower pace than they used to.......... Lots of hugs for "Granny" Elli.
