Currently in foster in Hythe, after being dumped on by his previous owner and a local rescue. The vet saw him last night and he is fine, apart from a tail injury which is being sorted next week, at the same time he is neutered and chipped. His tail will probably have 6 inches taken off due to an old untreated injury. The vets seem to think he has had a really awful former life as although he is medically fine, he has a few war wounds. He is around 5 years, just a bit bigger than a whippet (he's definitely a whippyX), very good with other dogs, very affectionate, and another mummy's boy. He is just a real sweetie. He is however an ace counter surfer and thief and even though he is only little, he can jump onto a table to steal!! He may be able to live with cats and is currently being tested by his foster mum and her two cats. He had to be left on his own in the kitchen overnight on his first night (because of the cats) and was very good apart from a few little whines. He is a typical whippy and needs lots of attention, comfort and to be very spoilt by his new owners. If you would like to know more about Nubi please contact Julie newpoundfarm@madasafish.com and mention you saw him on S.L.R. Here he is, the lovely boy himself.

Nubi update. This young man is now residing with 8 cats so I think we can say he is cat trainable/friendly. He has stopped stealing and is turning out to be a very well behaved young man who responds very well to training and is very willing to please. His foster mum is really pleased with the way he has calmed down and has turned into a super dog. (but he is still a cuddle monster)

Thank you everyone, Nubi is the most mischievious and clever little chap, a love bug and totally adorable in every way (even when stealing food from the Microwave, opening it and helping himself!!)...And he is a gentlemen with my cats, even allowing cuddles and washes from them....Sandy my rescue suluki adores him and they snuggle and play together...Julie has been a great friend and brilliant support, offering all of the advice that was needed to make this happen, can't thank you enough Julie, Lots of love to you and your gang, Will post some photo's of him and Sandy soon xxxxx

Nubi has settled in so well, although it was very shaky to start, counter surfing and cat chasing...however he is so clever and been so willing to please, was only needed to be told once that cats were his friends and part of the pack, and he has stopped the chasing. He is now the best of friends with them all, oftern seen accepting a loving wash from them... It's hard to imaginge life without the little cuddle monster. He has helped with Sandy's confidence and seperation anxiety issues and now they will cuddle up so I can pop to the shops, without Sandy upsetting the whole neighbour hood with his Hound Crys....Bless him. Nubi has gone through so much in his little life, and thankfully now, all of his wounds, physical and mental are healing for good. I hope you enjoy the photo's, I will be keeping in touch and letting you know of our adventures... I have been truly blessed...However failed as a Foster Mum, cause I couldn't let him go.......Nubi had his game plan from the start! xxx

Aaawwwwwww........ what a sweet love story and Happy Ending for little Nubi............ I think intelligent little Nubi knew from the beginning that his foster home was ALREADY his forever home and that he wanted to stay with you............... long before YOU realised it. It could not have possibly worked out better for all of you, reading how much sunshine he has brought into your lives. Keep us updated, please, we just LOVE to see how much they are enjoying their new lives - they soo deserve it.............. ! Viviane. X
