What a gorgeous boy hope he is not with you to long Joy you will be falling in love with him, it must have been difficult for his owner to let him go but its nice to see he is relaxed with you and your hounds. You don't have room in that bed for three Joy, or there will be no room for you.

Awww my heart is in meltdown mode.....having just read the terrific news on the Facebook site that Ronnie has been homed (my 1st home check!)....but Alfie is just so totally adorable. The photos are wonderful.
We are thinking about giving another hound a home.... Dare I ask...where is he located at the moment ?

Hi there Sam. We are homechecking a possible home for him on Friday afternoon, but it will depend on Alfie's needs. He is with Joy at the mo in Hayling Island. Sorry I forgot to tell you that Ronnie had gone. He is down near you in Beaulieu, the one you homechecked for us Got another oldie coming in today, not as old as Alfie, but a waif in need again. Jayne who fostered Ronnie is fostering our next little Waif, Shadow.

He has got more confident with Sam and Bonnie and just wanders around with them. Took them out this afternoon and suddenly he was not on a lead anymore. The catch had come open and he was free - I nearly panicked but saw he was staying with Sam so left him a while then just walked up to him and clipped him on. Let him off a few times and he never attempted to run away. Very tired on return and ate a huge dinner.

Looks like it going well with Alfie Joy I am sure his last owner would be pleased that you are looking after him for a while. Sam will miss his playmate when he find his new home. You were brave letting him go without his lead its always a scary moment but all was well, they don't usually go far do they. He looks a smashing hound you will be sorry to part with him.

Unfortunately and sadly for the homechecked lady we are going to be looking for a home for Alfie with another dog around, or even two. He was living with a boxer before and only had a couple of weeks without the boxer. Since living with Joy he has come back to life and his eyes are alive again. We can't send him out as an only dog, so applications are OPEN again

I can see some failed fostering going on here. ;D ;D And who could blame you if you did Alfie is fitting in so well with you and your family Joy I see he loves your granddaughter.
