So sorry all. Caroline has text me to say that her internet is down again. Yes, little Cai went off to his new forever home yesterday to a very excited new mummy in Oxfordshire. Caroline promises as soon as the internet is up and running again she has some photos to post. Well done Caroline and good luck to you Cai and new mummy Rosemary. I know Cai is not a replacement for your beloved Eric, but another little love to cherish.

I'm so glad that all of them have now gone to their forever homes.
I was worried about all the cute growing and puppiness that the new families were missing out on. ;D ;D

They are the easiest ones for me to let go Hannah ;D They have no baggage, and lovely futures with their loving families. It is the ones like Ollie, who come in with obvious marks of abuse and neglect that I just want to hold onto

Rosemary has emailed through a progress report today - and will be sending more photos soon!!
I thought you might like some more news of Crosby.
This afternoon I can honestly say he has been extremely well behaved and as I slowly tap the keys he is fast asleep at my feet! We returned from a walk an hour or so ago and he walked beautifully to the field on a loose lead. In the field we did three circuits off the lead. I don’t always do the same walks and so I was particularly impressed with his behaviour in the field as there were other dogs over the other side but he stuck with me. I would not like to say this super behaviour was because he is so obedient, my ample supply of treats or that he just had not noticed the other dogs!
I enrolled Crosby for six sessions at Puppy School and he has attended the first two classes. I did take one of the Collies to training classes but I much prefer the way this one is run even if it means a 10 mile drive. It is really good for Crosby to socialise with his own age group as they are all between 12 and 20 weeks old..
I am pleased to report that so far Crosby has not chewed furniture/furnishings but he has had plenty of his own things to chew. I shall probably be eating my words in the next few days so perhaps I shouldn’t have written that! His toilet training is I think 100% reliable during the day but he still cannot get through the night although he has managed a couple of times this week. The play biting is certainly lessening but still there when he forgets and in the odd moments when he is hyper and does not appreciate the word ’No’ and so he is banished from our company for a little while. I try not to make him sound too perfect Caroline or you might get ideas! Personally for a puppy that has only been with us for a month he couldn’t be much better so to me he is practically perfect!
Crosby has had some walks to the Thames and the Abingdon lock keeper really loves him as does everyone we meet. He has dipped his feet in the river where access to the sandy bays is easy but I have kept him on the lead. He has had off lead walks beside the river too.
Following the jabs at the vet last month Crosby is entitled to a free check so we shall go next week. It will be interesting to see how much he weighs as he has certainly grown.
That’s it for now, I will look out a couple of recent pics after I have cooked tea.
