Aw he looks a sweetie, and I reckon DADI's Jack will have some competition in the posing department once Luka gets settled... but isn't Luka a girl's name? My name is Luka I live on the second floor...Suzanne Vega I think... I hope this Luka hasn't has as tough a time as the girl in the song! Or maybe I just need to get out more... ON this occasion Jules, we let the foster family name the dog ;D NOT GUILTY HERE. ;D I believe Luka is a male AND female name Like mine Barney's right, he's a perfect gentlemen. Travelled brilliantly in the car; just stepped right in and lay down. He does pull on the lead, but with some training I'm sure he'll stop. He's clever and he understands "paw". Very laid back and gentle, and he's just so friendly and happy, and loves being cuddled. He's getting on really well with my two, and has settled in very quickly. And he was straight on the sofa roaching Plus he's absolutely STUNNING ;D He was quite matted when he arrived so earlier we cut off all his matts and have given him a good groom. I'll take some better pictures tomorrow, but here are some to keep you all happy for now Having a cuddle with William and Laura (my other sister and brother): Having a cuddle with me:

Gods, what a beautiful boy. It never ceases to amaze me that people let go of such incredible beasties! I'd snap him up if I only had the room.

He will be very happy with you, Uncle Barney - if our Bailey is anything to go by. Indeed, when we came to meet Bailey on Sunday your love for these gorgeous dogs was most evident. Despite the enormous pleasure and reward you must get from caring for the various and ever changing Harlow Hooligans, it must be hard for you to part with them, even although they are going on to a good home somewhere else. We will post a note or two about Bailey in the general chat section. Good luck in placing Luka - the same mix as Bailey, but with fluffier ears!

............and so he should, Barney, he is a very elegant looking hound and it looks as if its quite a bit of Borzoi in him. Looking forward to the posts of rowan and see what she thinks about him, in particular his response to 'recalls'............ We all know what Salukis are like in this respect , so with a bit of luck he has inherited a better recall response from this side. Anyway, once off lead it is a real pleasure to see them "flying"...... a marvellous sight to see a Borzoi in action...............! Viviane. X

He is indeed a cracker, & I'm sure he'll be spoilt wicked in the course of his stay with his fosterers in Hertfordshire. [/i][/quote] He sure is, and is eating better than us at the moment! ;D Luka had a bath earlier which he wasn't too impressed with and was shaking, poor thing But now he's dry, he's all clean and fluffy, and smells gorgeous! Luka's doing really well here. He's settled in perfectly. He's house trained, and hasn't had a single accident yet (touch wood). Out on walks he pulls to start with but once he's over his initial excitement he stops. He's well behaved meeting other dogs, but will bark and cry if he can't get to them or if they don't come over to him. He's being a perfect house guest, and my Dad's away on business at the moment, and he's coming back tonight so we'll see how they get on! ;D Also, Hannah's completely besotted with him And some pictures: Enjoying roaching in the new bed: Drying off: On the sofa:
