Well, Ronnie is now here with me in Hampshire. ;D
First impressions: he is absolutely gorgeous, on the outside and inside too. He's played beautifully with Percy and been incredibly patient with Millie, who is being grumpy with him, silly old girl. He is fabulous with my two children, lolloping at speed to them every time they call him and enjoying all the fuss they can give him. He came and sat on my lap for a cuddle earlier, I don't think he's realised how big he is! Oh, and he is scared of the guinea pigs....
He really is a great-natured young dog who deserves to be with a family to call his own.
I'll have a go at posting photos on another computer tomorrow (they don't work on this one) but if I don't manage would someone else please post them for me?

Course I will Jayne. Just email them to me. So glad you finally get to foster for us. There may be a home lurking down your way, so will be in touch.

I can't say enough just how fab he is! Had to leave him already tonight to take the girls swimming (Simon was unexpectedly late ) and he was as good as gold. He's just met Simon and given him a quick lick to say hello, and is now curled up with Victoria in her bedroom. Feels like he's always been here!!

Just another quick update on young Ronnie..... Well, he's completely gorgeous. I took him for a walk this morning by himself, and had a strange feeling as we walked along: the feeling of being control ;D With my two, my arm is wrenched out of its socket, but Ronnie walks really well. Any time he started to get ahead of me I told him to steady and there he was back at my side. He also sat perfectly at the kerb when told He loves playing with Percy, and my children. He's still just a big puppy really - this afternoon he got himself all excited playing fetch and ended just standing there barking like a mad thing. He just got carried away, bless him! And he gives great cuddles and licks... At this point, I'd like to show some photos of him, but I'm having major problems with that, so please can you use your imaginations and picture: - a shiny black lurcher asleep on the sofa - a shiny black lurcher with his nose right up to the lens - a shiny black lurcher playing with a smaller, not so shiny black lurcher - and a shiny lurcher being cuddled by my 11 year old daughter. Thank you!

I've got the photos from the camera onto the computer, but when I tried attaching them to an e-mail to you Jenny, I got a message saying something about "activex not allowing that to happen"....any clues on what that means? I've never been able to post photos from photobucket as I'm always told a network cable is unplugged (where?!!) but this is a new message now I'm using my new camera. Maybe tomorrow I dig out the old camera that at least I can e-mail....anyway, Ron is a happy chap which is the main thing!

Simon and I both had the thought that when Ronnie gets rehomed we could substitute Percy and keep Ronnie instead because he's so lovely.... (Only kidding Percy, honest!)

YES - important news to report!!! Ronnie has now gone off to his lovely new home in Hampshire (he obviously likes the county!) with his great new Dad. And the lucky chap even gets to use his own private beach and go off to work with Dad too Already the house seems very quiet without him. Percy has gone back to bed exhausted and the toys that have been left on the floor look rather sad without him. And I'm missing his big cuddly bottom which he would shove against me waiting for a fuss. . My youngest daughter has shed a few tears, but has already asked when we can foster again! Missing you Ronnie, but I know you'll be very happy and much loved in your new life. Thanks for being such a star.....
