Little Lily is arriving into SLR care tomorrow at 6.30 a.m. She is in transport right now. Bless her.
Coming from the lovely Clare Animal Welfare in Ireland Lily has a new mummy eagerly awaiting her arrival.
Here is what her rescue in Ireland has to say about Lily.
................................................
Lily, thought to be a whippet x terrier, wasn’t much more than a little bag of bones upon arriving and she had a ‘nice’ musty mange smell. We brought her to our vet the day after her arrival where she was treated for her mange and given a steroid and antibiotic injection to help boost her little system.
It is a long time since we had such a young puppy without it’s mother in our care and even longer since getting one in such a frail body condition. We hope she didn’t have any siblings sold prior to her being spotted or if she had that they went to homes where they will receive lots of loving care and nourishment.
Thankfully her skin sores are not too bad and so her hair should all grow back where they were.
Little Lily surely deserved a much better start in life than the one she got,
it amazes us the condition some animals are brought to fairs/sales in, obviously not everyone has morals or worries about what animal lovers / carers think of them.
Lily was born in early/middle of September and is a beautiful Whippet x Terrier girlie.
Lily is the most gentle and loving pup who loves children and gets along fine with dogs of all sizes, cats (particularly if they will play with her and let her cuddle into them at nap time), horses, sheep & goats ;o))
Lily is vaccinated and microchipped and a spay contract will have to be signed to ensure that she is spayed.
Lily IS NOW ready for rehoming...
Here she is.. Get ready to coooooo....xxx
At just four weeks old, after arriving in rescue
At 12 weeks and ready for the big wide world.
Photos just in from Ireland. Lily is now 16weeks old.
Here she is with Monty's litter sister, Luna.
She's now 16 inches at the shoulder, so should grow a couple more inches yet, around 18/19 inches at the shoulder. Only a littlun ;D
We are ready and waiting........ ;D
