Callum came into our care through the good offices of a Hertfordshire Animal Warden. He was found abandoned after travellers left the area, extremely nervous, flea-ridden, & not knowing what a lead was.
Callum is judged to be around 18 months old, & stands about 25" to the shoulder.
He possesses a lovely temperament, & has socialised really well with the resident crew:
Winnie has, of course, taken it upon herself to look after him:
Callum is in good condition - he's been vaccinated & microchipped, (he didn't bat an eyelid during either procedure), Frontlined, & is about to be wormed. He is booked in for neutering on Friday week.
It is, of course, early days to confirm his housetraining status, but as yet there have been no accidents in the house.
He has discovered that the furniture is quite comfortable, & I have discovered that he's a bin raider. He does, though, accept treats very gently.
First impressions are that the lad doesn't have a bad bone in his body - the word 'aggression' would appear to be absent from his vocabulary, & he is proving to be very affectionate, with the softest of coats that just yearns to be stroked.

Well done Gillian. Nice to see that he has kept up his tradition of sofa nicking ;D Barney popped in this evening after the vets and Callum came in with him. He met Mr. Milo and Mr. Tag and both were very pleased to meet him. Callum does seem to be a very laid back lad. And yes, a coat so soft. Those eyes just melt you.  |

i had the pleasure of meeting callum at the vets this arvo and he is a lovely hound barney is right about his coat it is glorius and you just want to rub your hands all over him i laughed and said what is he crossed with a polar bear it is lush, his under coat is a greyie black color and as soft as anything,
glad mory is settling well gilli,

Callum has been as good as gold since his arrival yesterday.
He slept through the night, mainly snuggled up to me after first exploring the dog bed in the living room, & the smaller of the settees.
He has not been pulling on the lead, though I must admit that his sense of direction occasionally leaves summat to be desired!
Callum has been eating well, & has displayed a distinct liking for tripe sticks. He has also been 100% clean in the house.
He's been playing with Annie again, & has discovered toys, which he may not have encountered in his previous existence.

This lad has the ability to kip anywhere..........................
I've seen hounds adopt some peculiar sleeping positions, but I reckon this one just about takes the cake, even though Murphy doesn't seem overly impressed! ;D
