Through no fault of his own, and his adopters say that he is the best little dog in the world. But.... the cat...... It is now causing them so much anguish. It is messing and weeing all over the upstairs and it is not fair to keep little Monty restricted in a few rooms downstairs. They have thought long and hard about this and are very upset, but they are thinking of the welfare of little Monty as well as the situation. For the time being Monty is staying with the family, and hopefully he can be adopted straight into a new family, but if I can bring him over here he can stay with us. So, the best little dog in the world is up for adoption again. I just want to scoop him up in my arms and tell him that it will all be okay and that he is going to be loved forever. He will, but I WANT IT NOW!!!! Monty needs someone around most of the time as he is still only 7 months old. He is tiny and at about 17 inches at the shoulder one of the smallest lurchers I have come across. But he makes up for it in heart. Can you offer Monty all the love in the world, and your time. He is so well behaved, and so so loving. Please don't apply if you can't offer him everything. This is the state that little Monty was found in by his rescuers in Ireland. He was then brought back to health and we agreed to bring him over here for a better chance at life. And the little man a few weeks after they got him. Did I mention he is everything friendly. Can I have your bed please. A photo in his foster home before adoption. We have to get it right this time... We have to...

My wife and I have been in touch with Jenny. We really want to take on poor little Monty, but as we had suspected prior to contacting SLR, the first and biggest barrier to this is the restriction to re-homing 200 miles... we live in Central Scotland!! We'd LOVE to give him a home...

I am sorry Lydcraig but we have to stand by our homing criteria. It is set up for the good of the dogs in our care, for out duty of care to them, and as we have proved on four occasions we need them nearby to retrieve if necessary. Dogs don't only bounce, but things happen to people beyond all our control, fatalities happen, and we have to stick to our criteria. I am so so sorry. We wish you all the best in finding your forever dog. xx

Ah, poor Monty. He is completely adorable. I wonder if I could sneak him in? I fit all the criteria, how I wish I could take on one more! My Pip & Poppy would really look after him. Jenny, have you had much interest? Do you think an Angel will find him in time for Christmas?
xx

I have an angel on the oldies site who is looking out for him. This lady, who compiles the oldies blurb has just described Simba as my ideal doglet. I am so grateful to them for listing him. All we need is for a miracle for little Simba. I so wish for one. www.oldies.org.uk/?p=5508

Oh no, just seen this This is just awful. Poor poor little boy, so unfair on him. I can't do boys or I would really think about having this tiny tot. I thought it was ok with the cat. Oh well, at least they aren't kicking him out just yet... Darn and more darn.
