My beautiful, elegant girl has left the building ! Steve drove all the way from High Wycombe to Cornwall yesterday to meet Summer. She responded really well to him, recalling to him and begging treats, much better than I could have hoped as she is still very wary of strangers. His dog Roxie, a Rottie cross Husky was a little reserved but to be fair she was in a strange place after a long drive and being asked to meet new dogs and share her man Due to the distance involved, Steve stayed over and left for home with Summer on board late this morning. He has since reported back their safe arrival and that when Summer started to whine Roxie gave her a good licking !! Summer was on the settee with him when he phoned. Summer is a complex little lady but Steve seemed well able to cope so lots of good vibes please that she has a long and happy life in her new home. I shall miss her !!

Great update Steve, and I'm so pleased that Summer and Roxie are becoming pals. Hopefully Summer will take her lead from Roxie who will teach her not to be so scared of new things. Dogs learn best from other dogs. And by the way.....welcome to the forum.
