Lenny has been home alone for a while and is not adapting to it. His owners now realise that he really needs to be in a home where someone is around more and where he doesn't have to be crated whilst they work. They did not intend to get him, but their son brought him home one day after a family with a teenager had got him and the child of he family went into care and they couldn't keep him. They passed him onto a Builder friend of theirs, but his own dog would not accept him. Their son was a good friend of their son and said he would take him home. They have tried their best, and are rehoming him for his own good. He has been neutered and vaccinated and is in a lovely condition. A well adjusted dog with other dogs and people and children. He is currently living with a Patterdale and an elderly Herman Shepherd dog. He has recall and is good offlead. He will be in shortly, thanks to Christine, who has offered to foster him.

This is going to be a really heartbreaking relinquishment for Lenny's family. He's a much-loved little boy who sounds like an absolutely lovely boy. I'll be picking him up at the weekend but in the meantime a huge thank you to his family for understanding his need for someone to be with him during the day and being prepared to let him go so that he can have the kind of life he needs. It's going to be a tearful handover, for sure, but he's going to have a fun time with my pack and looking forward to lots of you meeting him at the Fun Day.

Lenny BlogHello!I'm Lenny. Well, it's been a bit of a weird day. My humans took me on a drive this morning and I slept most of the way. When we stopped there was this other human who talked to my humans and then took me for a walk. I was a bit concerned at first because I couldn't see my humans anywhere, but I soon got into the swing of things when I saw other dogs walking with their humans. Next thing I knew I was in The Human's car and we arrived at her house. I was curious to look round the garden and TH introduced me to the other dogs one at a time. Daisy ran away from me, Alice was a bit wary, but Comet just stood there while I licked his nose. I've been watching TH in the kitchen and discovered there's a crate which I like going into. After a short while I got really tired so had a nap until TH went out into the garden. She said she was weeding, but I didn't see her doing any wees! The best thing about the garden was that the other dogs came out so I was able to explore with them.... and guess what! I found a bone. It was great and the other dogs were really good about letting me gnaw away at it without getting jealous. TH took a video of me running round the garden, and then a photo of me asleep. I didn't even know she was taking it, I was so sleepy! I'm not sure why I'm here but I guess TH will explain but in the meantime I think I'm going to like it here.

Poor Lenny. It must be sooo strange for him ATM. I am sure he will soon realise that he will still be loved with you and your pack

Well done Christine, I'm sure Lenny will soon get used to things under you and your packs care. I do feel for his relinquishing owners. Never an easy decision.
