I'm taking her back to Penny on Monday afternoon, but we do need to find a permanent foster for her. Poor Penny is in rented, and she needs other dogs around her when Penny goes out. She hasn't even murmured here. She has woofed down her dinner and is in the lounge lounging with the others.
Well, this little lady is loving having the company of other Lurchers. She readily ate her dinner this evening and is now relaxing on the sofa. Sasha, who would not enter the crate when we first got her here, has now gone into the crate to relax!!
A little video of the lovely Winnie eating heartily.
Winnie had a good night, downstairs with Sasha on the sofas. Not a peep from either of them until I went down at 8 a.m. Two very waggy tails greeted me but no-one wanted to leave their sofas.
Michael seems to be her favourite, her tail really goes when he comes down.

She is absolutely gorgeous and I see a hint of cheekiness in that face, just like Jemima has. If only John had retired!! I do hope she finds her forever home soon - bless her. Thank you Jenny, and special thanks to Penny for taking great care of her before and after her op x
She is continuing to be a poppet. Penny, as a single mum, has to take all the work she is offered and she has just been offered more evening work. This means that we will have to move little Winnie in the next week. Preferably by Tuesday, as she has a Vet appointment on Monday morning.

Penny took her back to Anil today and the knee is doing really well. Winnie was quite happy to be dropped off at my daughter's house for a couple of hours until I could pick her up again. She is happily snuggled on the big dog bed in the hallway right now.
She will go back to see the Vet in another 10 days unless there are any problems. And the last remaining 3 stitches will come out in a few days if the skin looks knitted.

She continues to be an absolute poppet. She may be moving at the weekend to a new foster home. There are just 3 stitches left, so if I can get them out before the weekend she can move over. She is a typical Lurcher. Couch potato. Loves to just snooze all day unless there is food. She is not a fast eater, but does clear her bowl. Winnie continues to sleep on the couch downstairs with Sasha and is quiet all night, and clean.
She is almost house-trained, but you do need to remember to let her out when she has had a drink or food and at least every hour for a wee. Winnie now copies the pack when they go out and christens any wees that they do.
She is an absolutely lovely dog.

We had a set-back yesterday. My daughter Mollie is home for the weekend and we had to take my sister to hospital, so we were gone some 3-4 hours.
When we arrived home the whole gang got excited, including Winnie, and she has banged her knee on the door frame as she ran with them to greet us. She is not weight-bearing again and it has swollen up. I have an appointment back at North Weald tomorrow afternoon so we may have to book her in for x-rays to see how it is. Winnie was due to move to her new foster Jackie today, but we can't move her untl she is stable.
