Winnie is doing so well with her walking that today she finally went with the pack to the Country park. She walked around half a mile on lead. She did woof a lot at other dogs coming towards us but those that were brave enough to come up to her, she was wagging as well, and nose to nose shut up and wagged. I think the woofing is a "don't come near me and have a go at me" way of preventing herself from being hurt.
A little black poodle x came up to her today and she really would have had a game with him had she been allowed off lead.
She is doing well indoors. We have left them now for up to 2 hours and the neighbours have listened out for us. She woofs if she thinks she can hear/see something strange, but apart from that she is quiet indoors.
Winnie is a delight to have around. Thank god, as we have 6 dog here and a seventh imminent!
Marmite is visiting tomorrow, and Deputy might be visiting in a while.

Sadly, despite several emails, text messages and voicemails being left for Jackie, she has not been in touch since she dropped Winnie off nearly two weeks ago. I have checked the log-ins on the forum and Jackie has logged in several times in that period, the last time being yesterday morning. My emails have asked that she get in touch to let me know the situation, but I have received no responses, and have been met with voicemail on her phone.
Winnie will be staying with me until she is rehomed as she now has to have her second vax and be neutered shortly and have the leg re-x-rayed.
She looks gorgeous and happy with you and yours. If there was an "easy" one that'd fit in I'd offer but. ... Someone I know is looking for a child friendly dog in the New Year as her Saluki x recently became ill and didn't make it.
Winnie now regularly goes around the Country park, albeit on lead for the time being. She will be neutered in three weeks time and have the leg x-rayed at the same time. But she is eager to play with the rest of the pack, and we are having to send her out into the garden on her own for toileting.
So funny today, she picked up a tennis ball and was throwing it up and about to amuse herself.
I am now leaving her for an hour regularly. She is absolutly clean indoors and no whinging.

We did our first mile and more on Sunday, in the rain. She was brilliant. She still wants to woof at oncoming dogs, but it is just a woof and then silent, and then a woof, just to say don't come to me and hurt me. She is wagging at the same time. I am sure once she is off lead she will be a different woofie.
