Dottie's owners saved her from being 'killed' 6 months ago, but she and their elderly non-sighthound dog are just not bonding. Her owners, quite rightly, feel that this is unfair on both dogs. Is anyone willing to foster her? Her cat status isn't known.

I have Jacqui and Doug's Ella until Saturday 18th but can take her after that - as long as she can go the dog show on 2nd Aug.

Dottie has met all the dogs and explored the garden. She has a lovely temperament, very gentle, happy, sweet-natured and pretty - her relinquishing owner said she doesn't have a nasty bone in her body. She's not very tall, about 22-23 inches to the shoulder Comet has decided he loves her and is already wanting to play (he normally takes a couple of weeks!) but Dottie is a bit overwhelmed and not sure what to do. I'll separate the dogs out so that the sight of Comet and Alice play fighting isn't too much for Dottie and once she's outside with them one at a time I don't think it will be long before she's relaxed enough to play. She's found some beds she likes and I want her to relax for a while and get her bearings. Off to the vet next week for vaccinations and see about neutering. Here's a photo of her in the car when I picked her up and one in the garden exploring. It's difficult to get many good shots as she's so busy sniffing out her new surroundings.

One more photo of her on one of the beds in my study - a bit blurry I'm afraid. She has a lovely soft shiny coat, but as you can possibly see, there's a hint of rough coat there too. Surprisingly Daisy is being much more friendly than she normally is with new fosters. She usually takes about 3 weeks before she'll come anywhere near them but she's in the study here with Dottie and quite relaxed about her. Dottie has such a sweet nature and I think this is why both Comet and Daisy are happy to have her around them.

The lass is absolutely scrumptious Christine, & 'tis great that Comet & Daisy seem content to have her in their home.
