Skye is still available. She could also do with an SLR foster home to get her as much exposure as we can. x

About time Skye gave a report on progress. Since my previous owners rang the vets threatening to dump me - they couldn't deal with my normal puppy enjoyment of life ie shoes for chewing and puppy pads to tear-up + the noise I made at night on my own missing my mum and siblings - and mum Cilla collected me, life has been super.First thing mum did was make a dog den for me to sleep in - 8 hours of blissful sleep feeling safe and warm. The other dogs were a lot to cope with at first but now they are great to play with - except the 2 grumpy's but they are coming round to my wonderful charms - Lottie collie is great fun + Buzz plays in the garden, Bridie my little lurcher friend gets me wound-up and playing at bedtime and uncle Dudley is my big lurcher defender who plays but also makes me feel safe when upset. Can't work out the cats, they look as if they would play but I'm not so sure - keep my distance from them! Rabbits look interesting but I like to knick their morning carrot if I can, otherwise can't be bothered with them. Will give you more update in a few more days. Love Skye

I've grown quite a bit since living here, mums just measured me !!!! about 42 - 45 cms ; I just couldn't keep still, lifes too much fun. I'm starting to get the gist of these cats - really thought the big grey one was going to eat me - anyway he just rubs around my head while I try to lick his ears, other than that he is extremely boring, the other two seem to be more frightened of everything let alone me. I've been joining the pack - dogs - on their evening walk in the New Forest of late, oh boy it is great to run around without any restrictions, I stay most of the time with Lottie but last night one of the grumpies had a little run and chase with me; perhaps he's not so grumpy after all! Anyway, there I was trotting along when this GREAT BIG dog crossed the path in front of me - I've been told since that it was a pony - wow did it frighten me, couldn't find uncle dudley to save me so shouted for mum, she saved me from the big beast and then I could go back to walking with my friends again. I'm starting to get the idea that travelling in the car isn't a bad thing cause we usually go somewhere fun, I don't need to make a noise any more. Walking out on my lead is getting more interesting, I can walk quite nicely and people always want to pet me. Met a little ball of fur yesterday, couldn't make it out, smelt like a dog, jumped all over us - me and mum - so wasn't sure about it but met a black lab later that was more like the dogs I'm used to. Crossed over the river - rather liked being up high looking down on the water and not getting wet - more interested in the people who gave me tickles though. Must get back to my afternoon snooze now. Love Skye

Skye, you look very cute (and you have lovely pink paws) and seem to be having a whale of a time in the New Forest. Yalla the big brave Deerhound agrees that some of these big dogs that go clip clop are very confussing. Sometimes if you bark they run away, sometimes they run towards you but the scary ones are HUGE and made of stone or bronze and don't do anything if you bark, they just keep staring at you. Yalla's advice for these ones is to cower as low as you can and slink away to find your mum! x
