We checked out next month's walk today. Charlie had a very good time playing with Rowlf, but I only took one snap! Charlie stood up to him very well, even when Rowlf got a little over-excited. The views were spectacular. Before the off:

Here are a few more snaps of the lovely boy. He is definitely calming down at home, and doesn't push Lorna or Hugo to play with him ALL the time, he will now make a game for himself with a toy, and after a walk they can be quite at ease with each other:
When we're out on a big open area like Baiter it's PLAYTIME!
That was fun wasn't it?
I'll just lie down and admire the view:
It all looks terribly fierce, and I have to say to people who give us funny looks "Oh don't worry, they're just friends playing!"

Took Charlie to join our friends at GIN for the walk round Upton House.
He greeted everybody with enthusiasm, including the dogs. There was a good turnout with all sorts of dogs....from little:
To large:
Sandy
Did you notice how Charlie's thighs are getting fluffy, and on his lower torso as well. He may be growing into a much fluffier and feathery boy.

Great photos. Charlie is such a lovely handsome hound. There's someone out there who's going to fall in love with him for sure

I realise I've slipped behind with his updates: On the 14th we were at the Smugglers Road near Burley:
And lunch at The White Buck:
Saturday night before the Fun Day, hoping for some fish....or just a chip....?
Next day, in "Male smooth coat"
First!
Later, up against the other winners...
Best in Show!!
On the 28th, at The Chequers...
And playing in the pub at lunch:

I can't understand why he is still there either. I met him for the first time last Sunday and fell totally in love, he is an absolutely gorgeous boy.

On Friday we had a walk with Chris and Sean, and their two dogs, Jack the West Highland White, and Max, a Saluki/greyhound. The boys all got on well together.
Managed to snap a zoomie...
Cooling off in the lake..
They look well together, don't they?

Lovely photos of Charlie. He's doing so well with you. He just needs someone to come along and see what a great little man he is

Just an idea, but Leons new owners will be looking for a companion for him soon and charlie's character seems like a good match. We met at the fun day during the walk and both dogs seem to have similar personalities. I have spoken to Leons adopters a few days ago and he is very settled in his new home so maybe this could be an option for charlie, what do SLR peeps think?

Here are some more shots of the lovely boy in action:
oooo, my ears are wet!
That's better!
With little Gracie...
The big news is that on Monday Charlie went for a sleepover with Chris and Sean, and Max and Jack. He was a very good boy, sleeping right through the night and working his magic on them all... With Max
Chillin' with Jack
Supervising Chris in the home-office
This evening Chris phoned to ask if Charlie can stay for ever.........( and they have a big sofa!!)
I expect Chris will be along soon to add to this.

Ahh your pictures are lovely Keith. Yes it's true, we welcomed Charlie into the family tonight after his sleepover since Monday. He's been an absolute dream and Max and Jack have taken to him brilliantly and vice versa. We lost our oldest Saluki lurcher Ellie in October last year and feel very lucky to have him and Keith and Mollie have done an amazing job taking care of the little lad. Looking forward to keeping everyone updated on how he's getting on! Max and Charlie chilling after their long beach walkees!
