UPDATE - 2nd February 2015. THIS LOVELY LAD IS NOW AROUND 20 MONTHS OLD. HE HAS BLOSSOMED INTO A LOVELY FEATHERED SALUKI X WITH A LOVELY TEMPERAMENT. He is always up for a run with his friends, is so socialized and good on the lead. Good with children. HE IS NOT CAT FRIENDLY. We are looking for a home with another like-minded dog for Charlie so that he can continue to have some good off-lead runs. He has had a lovely 2 months with his foster mum and dad, but is ready to move into a lovely home. ARE YOU HIS LOVING HOME. ................................................................................................................................. We have been asked to take in this little lad. Gorgeous sweet natured with people and dogs. Not cat tested. Around 18 months and approx. 24" to the shoulder, so fully grown. He will be coming in on Friday into Foster with Mollie and Keith in Dorset. He has sores on his legs but nothing major and the kennel are dealing with it. I like the toothy peg sticking out!

Looking at the photos again, he may have been penned up in a pen not high enough as his back legs are bent. That will improve within the week. His teeth look ultra white so could be around 14 months?

I've asked but I think we will need to bring him out and cat test him first. We need an initial foster home until he can be moved. If he is cat friendly I know there are two of you standing by at least.

He's a boy Sophie. Gorgeous. Can we find out about cats ? Yes - was just telling Jean, Sophie's new mum, about him half an hour ago. (BTW Sophie is doing brilliantly - she has grown a bit and is taller than Rosie now, loves everyone and everything. Such a sweetie). What a character, this little chap is. I can't take an unneutered boy, unfortunately.

I've been to meet this boy today and he is gorgeous. Came flying out of his kennel straight into a huge cuddle with me! We had a little play together in their yard and he seems very friendly, a little excited to be out, but gentle as a lamb.....and he has recall!!! I didn't have any of my hounds with me, but the girls at the kennels say he is great with other dogs, not really that interested, more of a people-hound. They are calling him Gabriel - because he is such an angel. He is a real smiler, not shy at all, and just wants loads and loads of love.

We have offered to foster, but I'm sorry, I don't think we'll keep "Gabriel"...I used to listen to the Archers!
Not keen on "Sid" either, although I did see Ice Age and liked it.
Still thinking.......

If the kennels chip him they will need a name there and then or I have to re-register, which is quite time consuming! Sorry, but if we can agree on a name in the time being, I am sure it will get changed on adoption and I will change it then x

We were thinking of Charlie as a possible?
Think it should be two syllables.
