Dropped Teddy(bob) off to his Holiday Foster home last night (Sharon & Dennis and Archie the labradoodle). They have such a great doggy garden and was Teddy 1st chance to run off a lead and did he go for it so great to see, chasing balls, play fighting and then all satisfied collapsed on louge floor. Unfortunately I couldn't get any photos of video as phone was dead but will try when collecting him or over following weeks. Think Teddy(bob)&Archie will be having lots of play times together! More when back from our short break. Thanks to everyone for the good wishes and I will reply about his size later. How rewarding seeing him last night running around compared to the near death state I found him in - Fantastic!

I am so pleased to see Teddy-Bob is enjoying his new life so much and as a result is putting on weight. And he has also lots of friends now to play with - way to go, Teddy! You are both doing such a brilliant job with this lovely boy! Viviane. X

Hi everyone I am Sharron and I am owned by that cheeky doodle in the pics above. One look into the beautiful big eyes of Teddy(Bob) and my heart just leapt out of my chest! My husband and I were very priviliged to be able to look after him for the time that friends Mark and Julie were away. (Many thanks to Alex for the quick homecheck that allowed us to be able to do so) It was a beautiful experience and Teddy is an absolute darling. Archie (doodle) thinks so too and has a terrific bond with him. If only we could keep him but it just isn't possible. I have always loved greyhounds and lurchers (so why the doodle I hear you ask? Long story - maybe some other time) I already belong to the UKLA forum but am now completely hooked with SLR and am hoping to be able to follow Teddy's new and exciting life once he goes to his forever home. Keep up the good work everybody - these dogs don't deserve the wickedness that some humans inflict on them

To introduce us, we are Caroline and Ivan and we have the privilege of adopting this special little dog. We collected him yesterday from the lovely Marc and Julie who have done such a good job of rescuing and caring for Teddy, and I know it was very very hard for them to part with him. He travelled back to Suffolk with us in the car without a peep and had an unbroken night sleep. Today he has been exploring our 2.5 acre fenced garden, eating and dozing in the office or kitchen, wherever we are. He had a swim in the pond, followed by 5 laps of it at high speed to dry off! He is calm, relaxed, confident and affectionate and I have already lost my heart to him......... He is my sixth lurcher and I have adored them all, although only one was rescued. I will keep posting for all those whose lives he has touched to be able to keep in touch and put up some pics as soon as I work out how to do it!

Oh I'm so glad that this has all worked out - so-far-so-good!!! I was lucky enough to do Caroline and Ivan's home check, and my dogs (and kids : wanted to move in to their beautiful home/gardens! (OK! so did I ) I am still jealous that Bob's not coming here though! Any problems/queries/funny antics etc etc PLEASE share- we really are an after adoption support network too! And I'm desperate to meet him on a group walkie. Lots of luck and love! Kate, Aisha, Linus and of course Tally and Xanthe x p.s. oh, and we do insist on pics, so best get to grips with photobucket!

Such a gorgeous boy - and I'm sure he needs a friend judging by the pics above, so who knows, maybe you can find him one on here Looks like he couldn't get close enough to his new friend the Laradoodle! I'm in Suffolk too, a few miles north of Colchester but over the Stour and the border - yes we must organise a Suffolk walk, when my ankle permits. Stour Valley maybe, and a picnic at the Munnings Museum: they love dogs there and Lady Munnings left it in the Trust that dogs should always be made welcome I take Rory into the archive! PS You might find Imagur easier than photobucket - I do

It is always heartwarming to experience a happy ending, but this happy ending is a bit special as Teddy has shown to be a real fighter. Many thanks to his foster parents who so splendidly cared for Teddy who is now in his forever home..... Be very happy, Teddy, and tell your mum how much we are looking forward to hearing all about your new life in your wonderful home and garden. Oh, and welcome to the forum! ;D;) Viviane. X
