Spider is a lovely lovely boy. Now 8 years old, he was rehomed by us in April last year to a wonderful lady, who loves him very much. Unfortunately she has a degenerative illness which means that she is having trouble with her balance. As she and Spider live alone together she feels that she would rather rehome Spider now before she feels any worse. When Spider went to live with her he was a plump unfit boy, but since having his new mum he has blossomed into a wonderful lean and loving boy. Spider can be left for up to 4 hours easily, but it would be lovely to have a mum around part-time for him. He is now very good on and off lead and goes out regularly with friend's dogs. He feels happier in the company of small dogs as he can be scared of large dogs. But his mum has worked wonders with his fear. He is a loving faithful hound and has many years of love to give. Spider is now around 8 years old. Here are a few piccies of Spider to tempt you. He is one lovely boy. And here's Spider on a walk with one of our forum members, Jill, end of last summer.

I wonder whether the Cinnamon Trust might not help? At least until Spider finds a new home.

How very sad. And what a lovely lady to put Spider's wellbeing first. Hope someone can help this lovely lad.

Spider is here. He IS lovely. He was good a gold in the car (although it was a squeeze - Jan had sent all his stuff and he was a very well loved hound, including a lovely raised bed) Dogs are all getting on fine so far - Spider wanted to play but my hounds were not keen - maybe tomorrow. Lots of waggy tails and Spider seems to be a real wagger and have a lovely smiley face. He seems to get a bit anxious when G goes out the room but it must have been quite a day for him. Gorgeous lad.

So glad he's with you Tina - I know it's a great comfort to Jan to know he's going to be so well cared for. But my heart really goes out to her this evening. A huge thank you to you and Jill for dealing with his transport. Big hugs to you both for what must have been an emotional journey.

This is sucha a sad situation and we are so upset for Jan. Spider has had to get used to a couple of situations, so a situation with a couple of dogs in the home must be lovely for him. Any probs missus, I am here. xxxx

I know, bless her it must be simply awful. Graham and I have been feeling very sad about it, she knows she can call for updates if she needs to. The good thing is he can stay here as long as it takes and he will be very well cared for and very well loved. At the moment he's laying next to G. He has the softest fur
