Stokes came in as one of a pair with Dotty the whippet when they were made homeless after their previous owner had to move house. Initially we thought they'd need to go together but they didn't really interact much at all, and Dotty will be going to her new home in the next few days. So, Stokes now needs a home of his own. He has been pronounced in excellent health, and is everything friendly but not cats (and he'll chase the odd seagull!). He's about 20" tall to the shoulder and looks a little foxy! Stokes is a little cracker ;D definitely a strong collie gene in there as he's bright as a button and very obsessive! He needs constant interaction with his humans and would suit someone who can spend a lot of time with him - ie: go to work with them or do agility, training, obedience on a regular basis. He would be perfect as a sole companion for someone and I don't think he'd miss another dog's company at all. Stokes gives really good eye contact whenever he's unsure about anything. He's a pretty strong character, but he's a real softy too, loves his strokes and cuddles, no sign of any temper, and he's extremely intelligent and very, very lovable .

his coat is just like jaspers who also has much collie in his mix, so good luck little man hope someone can give you a home where the humans can occupy the coliie brain

And whoever does give him that home is going to find themselves with a cracking little dog. He's come on so much since he first came in and is much calmer around the house and garden now. He loves a ball game and his tail is constantly wagging. He's such a happy soul. It does me good to see him enjoying himself so much when we're out on a walk and he's marvellous with children and other dogs. Right now, Dotty's taken herself upstairs and he's sharing a sunbeam with Clem. I'm determined not to keep him but I'll certainly miss him when he moves on.

Having met Stokes he is a cracking little man, very active and also dog and child friendly. Think he needs an active owner who will keep him busy. Beautiful little man! I am keeping everything crossed for you :-)

He's looking great Jenny . Everywhere we go people keep making a fuss of him. He's got a great smile and sometimes dances on his hind legs when he's particularly happy. Heres a picture of his gorgeous face. Look at those eyes . Speak soon xx Attachments:

I think so. I'm friendly with the people on a farm near here where they run agility classes and I've been thinking of taking him down there for a go. I met the woman out on walkies a while ago and she suggested it for him. I think he'd love it. He's very good on the recall, loves fetching a ball or a stick and is getting the hang of 'drop' at the moment. He'll do anything for a little piece of cheese

Just a quick update. I took Stokes to a fun agility group yesterday and he was a natural. Did so well on the beginners course they let him have a go on the advanced one. If we make it next week, I'll be sure to take my camera.

Just a quick update. Agility was cancelled last weekend but should be going on Saturday. Stokes came face to face with Ozzy's sister cat the other day and as suspected paid her very little attention at all. He's such a honey :)x

Assuming I've got the photobucket code right , here are a few pictures of Stokes at agility being handled by the lovely Becky. You can see how happy and healthy he is. We all love him to bits Cxx <div style="width:480px;text-align:right;"><embed width="480" height="360" src="http://static.pbsrc.com/flash/rss_slideshow.swf" flashvars="rssFeed=http%3A%2F%2Ffeed285.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fll58%2Fthatlovelyday%2FStokes%2Ffeed.rss" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" /><a href="http://photobucket.com/redirect/album?showShareLB=1" target="_blank"><img src="http://pic.photobucket.com/share/icons/embed/btn_geturs.gif" style="border:none;" /></a><a href="http://s285.photobucket.com/albums/ll58/thatlovelyday/Stokes/" target="_blank"><img src="http://pic.photobucket.com/share/icons/embed/btn_viewall.gif" style="border:none;" /></a></div>
