Hi all, just another quick update on little Molly. She has settled in today after quite a difficult time yesterday afternoon. She didn’t really settle at all and spent a lot of time barking at Chas and Patch. She is also quite nippy and likes to get her own way. She slept well and woke up at about 5.30 and went outside to the toilet. This morning she greeted Nic with Chas who has now accepted her and they have been playing bitey face on and off. She is nervous of squeaky toys and we don’t think she has had much play in her little life. I think it was just a new sound to her and she wasn’t sure what to make of it! She has been playing with a fluffy monkey toy and she has played a little bit with one of the squeaky dumbbells (see picture below) so we think she will probably get used to the noisy toys over the next few days. She is very wary outside, particularly of cars and buses, so we think she was probably in quite a rural location. She is not scared or shy with people – Nic’s parents came round for dinner today and she was straight up to them for fuss and attention. She also spent part of the afternoon lying across them on the sofa! We saw a cat out on a walk today but she did not react at all – not sure what she would be like in a home though. Toilet training is a bit hit and miss at the moment but we’re sure that will improve over the next few days. We think she may have some food aggression but will update as we learn more. She is mouthing a bit too and she does get a bit nippy as she gets carried away. We think this will improve once she understands the boundaries. We gave her a bath this morning and she seemed to enjoy it, not too fidgety and liked the towels when we tried to dry her off. And finally, she could counter surf for England! She has already had the following: Loaf of bread Green washing up sponge Washing up brush Tray with fat for our Sunday roasties! Box of glasses wipes Needless to say that the sides have been cleared back leaving no more temptations. Will update soon. Here are some more piccies. Saturday night chew anyone? Good Morning Foster Mum! Playing with Chas Playing with the squeaky In the bath Drying off Don't I look pretty Sitting for a treat Exploring...

I'd say she was probably an "outdoor" dog. Though she is still young and most likely had no guidance at all from her previous "owner".
She was handed in to a vet in Dublin so though she lived in the city, she most likely was a "left outside in the garden" dog -
why people take on pups and then leave them to "teach" themselves is beyond me.
I'd say Madam needs very firm, gentle handling -
So sad when older dogs have a late puppyhood as no one bothered with them when they were young.
Thank you both for all you are doing for Molly -
...hope the next school report is a bit better......lol

Or Madam Minx !!
Poor little babe - at least she's having some fun now!!
Sending love and patience to FM and D xxx
PS - I often see photos of people wearing clothes and bathing dogs. I get totally sodden when I bathe the Kings and end up trousers off and standing over them in the bath. I think I need some tips !!!

Molly/Holly has now had her spay. She was very groggy Wednesday evening to a point where it seemed she didn't even recognise me!!! Today (Thursday she is back to her normal self, and I'm having trouble keeping her under control and calm. She appears to be in very little pain and has her posr op checkup Friday evening.
