Shaun was picked up in Essex by the dog warden. Why did they do it to me. As I was picking up Rosie the kennels asked if I wanted to meet Shaun today and see how lovely he was with Rosie. O.M.G. Out they came together. She shiny black and elegant and him a young lean beautiful teenager. As soppy as a bucket of squishy water. He pushed himself up under Rosie's belly and snuggled into her face. He has a temperament to die for and now I know why the kennels have kept hold of him. How can you put down a dog as lovely as this. Obviously been bred to work; but obviously a failure. He has had his front dew claws removed, which although a lot of decent lurcher breeders do naturally, worker homes do naturally. He has been beaten up here and there, with nicks and knocks and a large bruise under his armpit. But if that tail stopped wagging I could take a picccie, and if the camera had been in my car So................... no room at the inn..................... but................ Junior is due to go to Hampshire on Thursday and instead of a rest Uncle Barney is having Shaun to stay, unless someone on here wants the most lovable foster. My face is sticky from kisses. Make an orderly queue. Shaun is about 18 months old. AND NO. WE DON'T KNOW IF HE IS CAT FRIENDLY. USUALLY NOT.. Here he is. He's only a littlun. ;D

The photos don't do him justice. He is incredibly adorable in the flesh. When he stops wagging his tail long enough to take a piccie, I'm sure you will all fall in love with his piccies. Definitely saluki collie type. And only about 24 inches at the shoulder. Fully grown.

Poor Barney will be stacking them up soon. ;D Mummy Chook seems to be of the opinion that five hounds is the optimum number for my home-kennel & is determined to maintain it at that level! (Except of course when there's an additional one looking for overnight accommodation ).

Even we don't get to sit on his sofa, and if we do a hound sits on us very shortly afterwards ;D And to maintain the equilibrium, why should I have 5 when you would have 4 And little Junior, now how much trouble has he been

Shaun arrived here this morning courtesy of Auntie Jenny's Waifs & Strays Taxi Service, & has proved a big hit with the girls.
He's a happy little soul - his tail hasn't stopped wagging since he walked in the front door. ;D
We do appear to have another countersurfer/bin raider on our hands, so security will be raised to a yet higher level.
Shaun has a lovely temperament, & doesn't appear to have brought much in the way of baggage with him.

Just to add to Barney's comments on Shaun, I called in briefly to day after Shaun had arrived and he is a really lovely dog. Very friendly, waggy tail the whole time, and so affectionate. He is going to make someone a great pet and I bet he won't be waiting long .

We've just returned from the evening perambulation, & Shaun was absolutely as good as gold on the lead.

Ahh, another hound looking so 'at home' in such a short space of time! i love the way he's copying the pose of whoever's on the sofa with him at the time! ;D
Annax
ps. i think you need a longer sofa so that they can all get on it at the same time! ;D
