I can't believe this chap hasn't had any interest yet He is such a lovely boy and really doesn't have any faults. He's great with everyone, loves having a fuss, is brilliant with other dogs (pretty submissive actually) has good recall, has a healthy appetite, sleeps for Britain, is walking so much better on the lead, loves playing games and mucking about with toys, has such a funny personality and is drop dead gorgeous..... what is there not to love??? Come on people - get those application forms in Jenny, can we put this picture on the main website please as it really shows how beautiful he is

We have spent more time with the Stokers today and I have to agree that Ronnie is sooooooooo lovely His skin is looking so much better and I really think he is starting to gain weight Ronnie loves to play off lead with the others and plays so beautifully with all my dogs and when my grumpy old boy Sammy growls at him to go away he listens with no malice. I hope that his forever family come forward soon, he so needs to grow, learn and love is new family and dog/s.

This boy is just so full of the joys of spring it's delightful to see ;D I walked him with Dylan & Dexter only last night when it was nice and cool and he had a total blast. We met a really nice guy with 2 westies who Ronnie absolutely loved and kept running back over to say hi to them again and again much to the owners amusement. He doesn't have an aggressive bone in his body all he wants to do is play and because he's so gangly and bow legged his play bows are hilarious We also met a collie and a seriously cute little JRT called Sally who chased him around and around until he collapsed in a heap ;D When he runs flat out you wouldn't know that he had any issues with his legs at all he looks so graceful.... it's only when he's plodding along that he seems to trip himself up if he's not watching where he's going. His recall is spot on and he comes everytime to his name now and we're almost there with a whistle too. Bearing in mind that he is a saluki cross I think the fact that he's got any recall at all is amazing Having good recall is a blessing with him too as he does need a good amount of exercise otherwise he gets fidgety and restless. Indoors he's coming along a treat ;D He's no longer pushy & greedy with food, he'll wait his turn for treats very nicely - we haven't mastered sit yet though He eats with all the others now with no issues and his counter surfing is reducing down nicely.... he still does it when he thinks he can get away with it though When we're eating he now takes himself off to lie down as that's what all mine do so he's picked that up quite quickly. His skin is improving daily and doesn't seem to be bothering him at all so I'm sure in a week or so it'll look like nothing was ever wrong and he'll be soft and shiny I'm going to weigh him tonight to see if he's managed to gain any weight - he's been on three meals a day for two weeks now so fingers crossed he has.

What a fantastic update Karla ;D . Ronnie sounds just lurvely and you've done brilliantly with him. Cant believe there's no takers for him yet but that means there's still a chance I might get a Ronnie cuddle before too long

If lovely Ronnie would be happy as an only dog but with some young kiddies to play with he could possibly have a home.

He'd be great with kiddies as he's a big soft-bag and doesn't mind being pushed and pulled around at all..... but he does love other dogs There is no reason why he wouldn't settle as an only dog if he was given a lot of exercise and stimulation.... being a youngster he loves a good run, but without another dog to run with he could get frustrated and seek out other dogs when out and about

I have to agree with Karla, I feel I know the lovely Ronnie quite well now and he does love one to one time with me He loves a massage, which I feel is helping his muscles as they develop, when he first arrived at Karla's he was quite shy to the touch, but now he loves all the fuss you can give. I think Karla and Mark have done wonders with him. I feel that Ronnie could make it through life well as an only dog, but as Karla said he would need and want to go out to play with local doggies

;DWTG Ronnie he looks so peaceful on the sofa and the close up of his face is to die for ;D. What a handsome chap with a wonderful personality, why cant men be like these dogs? Mind you I draw the line at peeing on the beds! Well actually, if a man was a wonderful as these dogs I might put up with quite a bit of doggy behaviour!!!

Ronnie has really started to enjoy having a fuss and is beginning to ask for it now too. This morning he tentatively put his front paws on the bed and nuzzled Mark so Mark encouraged him up and he climbed onto Mark's chest and laid there with his head buried in Mark's neck having strokes for about 10 minutes ;D the look on his face was sheer bliss

OK - who swapped Ronnie for a nutty puppy This dog has lost the plot ;D he's hairing around the house like a loon - I think someone whispered in his ear that it's ok to enjoy yourself..... He runs upstairs grabs something - anything that's closest, shoes, pillows, hairbrush - and then races downstairs with it into the garden and shakes it to death, before rushing upstairs to do it all over again with something else Vinnie, Dylan, Shylo & Reggie just watch him for a while and then turn over and go back to sleep but unfortunately Dexter follows him barking loudly the whole time Can I re-home him instead please Jenny Having 2 dogs under a year old in the house is definitely not a great idea...!!! Ronnie will make a wonderful family dog - he loves being fussed and he loves playing - I can see him becoming very attached to a youngster that would be willing to spend lots of time with him He will however need lots of guidance and a fairly firm hand to keep him under control as he can get very excited and bouncy. There is nothing malicious with him he is just descovering that he missed a puppihood and is making up for lost time..... oooodles of fun

I've come to the conclusion too that I shouldn't do any more puppies I think I should just do the oldies, all of them. ;D I AM trying to find him a home, HONEST... But he loves it with you guys. Perhaps he will calm down in 2011

Yep. First time I've met him too and he truly is a stunner. He is just so happy and friendly with everyone he meets - like Angus I don't think his boy-bits are in contact with his brain. Not a hint of aggression or dominance or humping. He is going to make a wonderful family pet for some very lucky people.

Thanks for your comments on Ronaldo ladies he really is a lovely doglet and just needs someone to give him a chance of happiness... We've had an interesting weekend On Saturday morning I opened a brand new bag of chew stick treats, took out half a dozen and left the rest of the bag on the side whilst I took the dogs out for a walk. I later popped into town and left the dogs with Mark who was working out in the workshop. When I came back Mark showed me the empty treat bag saying I thing Ronnie helped himself to a few treats A FEW treats, there were 100 in the bag, minus the few I'd taken early...!!!!! That can't be good for him So we awaited the fall out....... and it didn't take too long to arrive! He paced around the garden about midnight for a couple of minutes before his bowls release Not easy cleaning that up in the dark I tell you!! He then seemed to settle down so we went off to bed. Ronnie chose to sleep in the bed next to Mark's side for the night and at about 4am Mark was woken up by the most horrendous smell..... thankfully only a little flatulence from Ronnie (I didn't laugh honest ) I got up at about 6.30am to let them all out and give then their breakfast early as we were off to a dog show for the day. Ronnie had a very small handful of dried biscuits as I didn't want to upset his stomach anymore than it probably was from the the treat overdose! Well I'm not sure if that was a good thing or not as from 7am onwards we had the entire contents of Ronnie's stomach spread around the house.... GROSS!!! The poor lad was sick about 6-7 times and each time he managed to do it on a dog bed or on the one and only carpet that we have on the landing Not a fun morning clearing all that up.....!!! Thankfully Ronnie was drinking quite a bit so I wasn't too worried about him becoming dehydrated and he seemed ok in himself, he obviously just needed to get out what he'd gotten in After a set back of about half hour we did manage to get ready and leave for the show. We met up with Gilly & Jim and set up base camp in the far field of the show ground well away from the action. With 13 dogs between us at the moment it wasn't going to be possible to walk them all round together so we took a couple of gazebo's and a picnic and stayed out the way..... and it worked brilliantly as we had a fabulous day ;D ;D Ronnie was as good as gold all day. He was very docile for most of the morning but then if I'd been that sick I think I'd be feeling extremely sorry for myself too He had a couple of runs with the others and came back everytime he was asked even though there were loads of things going on around him We didn't take him into the main show as I didn't want to stress him out when he wasn't feeling 100% but he wasn't bothered at all. We came and went in shifts during the day always leaving at least 1 person with the dogs at base camp whilst the others would take a couple of dogs at a time into the show. We picked a great shady spot and with the gazebo's and both cars we were never really in the sun so very comfortable for all the dogs. Got home about 6pm-ish last night and the dogs had some dinner - Ronnie only had a small amount of dried food again after being starved all day and thankfully that has stayed down ;D Every dog Ronnie met this weekend he has met beautifully, he's such a waggy happy soul

I took Ronnie out tonight with just Dylan and Vinnie to give him a bit of a change and also to give him a break from Dexter who seems to just hound him when they are out running Took my camera with me for once so I have a few shots of Ronnie enjoying himself out and about - sorry they are pretty blurry but he is a bit quick and I ain't no pro at this photography malarkey . He is as good as gold off lead and a few treats in the pocket ensure he doesn't stray too far. He does get overly excited when he sees another dog though so that still needs some work but we are getting there Weeeeee this is fun... Did you call me..?? Who's ears are these..... Come on Dilly-doooo... Got any treats foster mummy...?? We'll leave Ronnie to do all the running.. Not to embarrass the lad but this is how he pees.... he doesn't know how to c**k his leg Dylan disgraced himself tonight by rolling in fox poo Thankfully the others didn't follow suit so only Dylan had to have a bath when we got home...

Wonderful update on Ronnie. He is gorgeous, if only I had the room No wonder the poor fella was feeling sick after eating all those treats, bet he thought all his birthdays had come at once Hurrah for Dylan - get my Millie off the hook for a while!! Although Ginny has been joining in recently but with horse or dog poo - not impressed Glad all went well at the show. Hope Ronnie finds his forever sofa soon (sadly not mine ) he is a lovely dog.
