Thanks folks. She was a little subdued when I left her at the vets but I have been promised TLC. They know she is special!

The "thing" that was in Tilly's nose was... Probably from a fox. It's about 7mm long. It's sitting in front of me in a speciman jar. Maybe I should stick it in next year's auction The good news is that no additional damage was done to Tilly's poor face during the op and it was extracted through the same hole it went in. She's now on antibiotics and is very subdued but as they say "better out than in!"

What a good girl she's been ... making such huge progress and yet having that thing stuck in her nose all this time. Onwards and upwards lovely Tilly :-)

Poor little Tilly - no wonder she's not been keen on playing bitey-face. We've been thinking about her all day, and so glad it's all over. Did the vet manage to get it out without subjecting her to stitches?

No stitches. I was pretty convinced it was a foreign body but I didn't think it was a tooth. I thought it was a claw. Thinking about it, it must have been imbedded into the bone because otherwise it would have come out with her scratching as it is pretty straight and smooth. Yuk.
