Reggie has had a clean bill of health from the vet - all bar his skin obviously - but that is healing beautifully and the fur is growing back nicely Gonad removal is booked for this Friday so he can goodbye to them huge bald plums for the last time.... phew they are going to microchip him whilst he's he's under GA too, tried to do it tonight but he's an unbelievable wriggler it just wasn't goin gto be possible without two of us sitting on him

Thats great news with regards to his health. He is going to be a gorgeous looking dog when all his hair grows back, luckily the plums won't grow back as well!!

We had a really good night with Reggie last night ;D After our trip to the vets we took all the dogs over the local rugby fields. Shylo is still on lead walks because of her op so just the boys running around. Reggie wasn't bothered by them at all and wasn't pulling to be with them either - his lead walking is coming on a treat. When we got over to the far corner of the fields where it's enclosed on 2 sides we let him have a little off lead run between Mark & I. He was as good as gold and ran straight back to Mark every time - even with Dexter trying his hardest to get him to run & play such a good boy xx He's really starting to learn his name and coming when you call (especially if food is involved ) but he also responds really well to a whistle. We think he must have had some basic training at some point in his life as not only does he know the whistle he sits on command too. We then gave him a little more freedom and walked a good 100 yards leaving him off lead and he just stuck like glue to Mark Dinner time was also really good tonight. I fed all the others while he waited in the lounge with Mark and then once they had all finished I let him in and fed him on his own. Not a single grumble and no issues with Dexter either. Later on in the evening I tested them with a treat each and although he was very keen he didn't try to snatch the others treats even though I gave them first he waited for his and then moved away slightly to enjoy it. He then spent the rest of the evening sprawled across Mark's lap on his back with his feet up in the air He again slept on the bed with us - he's so small you really don't notice he's there and then at about 4.30am this morning Shylo & Dexter decided that they too wanted to be on the bed not the best situation but I allowed it as one I was half asleep and two I wanted Dexter and Reggie to start gelling a bit more and as it turned out the two of them snuggled up to each other in between Mark & I Shylo chose to lie right across both our feet's at the bottom - not the most comfortable I assure you This mornings breakfast went without a hitch too. After letting them all out for a wee Reggie ran straight back upstairs to Mark where as all the others stayed in the kitchen as they knew what was coming. So I fed them all - pilchards this morning - and then whilst they were eating called Reggie down for his and fed him in the corridor outside the kitchen with the door open. Once he'd finished he just trotted through the kitchen ignoring the others and went straight outside to do his business We have unfortunately discovered that the poor little mite has worms thankfully I got some worming tablets from the vets last night so he's had a good dose and now that I can see lots in his poo I'm hoping this is going to get rid of them. I'm no expert with worms though so if anyone has advise about what else I can do please let me know. I guess this explains way he's so unbelievably hungry though my poor little button Mark is out for a couple of hours this morning fitting a job in Winchester so he's taking Reggie with him as we don't want to leave him that long for the first time. Reggie would be perfect for someone who wants a cuddle monster... he's so attentive and is so happy when he's with you. I can imagine a serious bond being formed with his owner and he'd willingly do anything to please. Training him will be super easy as he'll not only do anything for food he'll do anything for fuss He gives you his full attention when you're concentrating on him so training classes or even agility would be so much fun with this little fella. I would be happy to rehome him as an only dog if he's going to have lots of company and someone who doesn't work much or I'm sure he'd be equally happy with some doggie companions - he doesn't have an issue with males or female - other then the humping thing at the moment but that'll all change after Friday... Come on people please start enquiring about him, if we don't rehome him soon I'm frightened Mark's not going to want to let go

Wonderful update Karla ;D. It was quite apparent at the weekend that a certain Mr Stoker is rather taken with Reggie

Lovely update and it sounds like Reggie just needs a routine With regards to the worms, poor little fella, the dead ones will start to come out in his poo so don't worry if you see more. Bodhi came here with worms but we only saw 2. I would recommend worming him again in four weeks and then go on to every three months We also thought that Reggie and Mark have made a connection It was lovely to see

OY you lot, you're supposed to be on my side We are not keeping this little bundle no matter how adorable he is - FOSTER ONLY!!! Mark will come to terms with the loss he'll be happy as long as he's got his princess Shylo. I rather like fostering so no failing from me and that's a promise.... besides I don't fall in love that easily anyway

He definitely looks Staffie x Whippet Karla. Do we have any idea how old he is? If Pete was home full time and not working away I would have been seriously tempted by this one as I think Reggie might bond with him the way he's bonded with Mark. However, I see no reason whatsoever why Mark shouldnt keep him on as a travelling companion for when hes in the truck for work. He could be Marks new assistant . Everyone needs an assistant.

Little Reginald went in for his op this morning. There was a fat snarly staffie by the desk when we got there really having a go at Reg & Shylo as we tried to walk past... the poor owner was hanging on for dear life Reg couldn't care less - nothing fazes this fella He had his pre-op check and the vet said he's as fit as a fiddle then the nurse took him off and he didn't even glance back just happily trotted off behind her I can call them at lunchtime to see how he is and then arrange to collect him this evening when he's a few pound lighter
