Yay, Karla and Mark, you are wonderful foster owners. Reggie looks like he'll come on in leaps and bounds now and will soon find his permanent home.
Shylo looks gorgeous too; so pleased to see her in the pictures after her recent toectomy. (Is that a word?)
We don't have a smilie for hobbit feet, do we?

Reggie had a good sleep last night as he spent the whole night either curled up on Mark's chest or next to his head by the pillow We did try to settle him down on the bed by ours but he wasn't having any of it and just sat and stared at Mark giving little whines until he was allowed up on the bed. He's desperate for body contact at all times and seems to have latched onto Mark and just wants to be with him. We spent today with Gilly & Jim and Sally & Tim so he was introduced to the full extended family of humans and hounds and nothing fazed him. He's a little too much of a hump-a-lot though and did get told off a few times by numerous hounds & terrier (he wasn't picky who he humped ) and considering the size of him it was pretty funny at times. I am going to take him to the vets tomorrow and get his skin checked out and also try to get him booked in for a testicle-lobotomy He is a total foodie and his greed seems to take over whenever he gets a sniff of food. There is no aggression to people and he will eventually calm down with a little patience and I'm sure once he realises that food is coming regularly and with a bit of training I'm sure he'll chill out and not be such a greedy-guts. He is however a little aggressive with the other dogs around food we discovered tonight. We keep the dog food int he shed and Mark went out to re-fill the tin and Dexter & Reggie followed him out - unfortunately a full on scrap ensued.... luckily I was just inside the back door so got to them quick enough to separate them and no damage was done to either dog. I'm pretty sure it was mainly noise rather than actually biting but Dexter seems to be pretty shaken up and is giving Reggie a wide berth at the moment I'm not overly concerned as this is something that is fixable and definitely manageable in the short term with feeding them separately. I'll work on Reggie's food issues over the next week or so and I'm sure he'll be fine before long They are currently sat either side of me on the sofa happily snoozing away so when there is no food around they are fine with each other. After his busy day he's totally cream-crackered now and whilst Mark was getting changed he went to sit on the bed to watch and promptly fell asleep and there he stayed even after Mark had gone out for about an hour until I popped up to see if he was alright and he decided to join us downstairs.

He's a lovely little lad. Made me laugh to see him trying to hump Ollie - the look on Ollie's face! 10/10 for effort there Reggie. Your right about Ollie's face Ro ;D He was not a happy chappie ;D I guess it is easy to understand his food aggression seeing what he may of been through He will improve wit your guidance

Poor boy, I expect he's still in the frame of mind where he feels he has to fight for every morsel in case there isn't any more If anyone can convince him there's no need for it, you can He looks such a sweetheart I can't imagine him doing anything as uncouth as humping !! Jo

Reggie is a little pocket sized star ;D. After seeing those first pictures of him I was expecting to be in floods of tears when we saw him yesterday but oh no ... this chap is just full of tail wags and cuddles so there were no tears, just smiles and laughter . Here's what another newbie had to say about him ... Suki here again - the others have let me blog cos I am the newbie.
We went over to a place called Manor farm today for a BBQ. Gilly and Jim (two-leggers) were there with Roxy, Daisy, Bodhi, Darcy, Mr Twist and my best friend Sammy. Karla and Mark (two-leggers) were there with Vinnie, Dylan, Dexter, Shylo and their newest foster - Reggie.
Reggie was rescued only yesterday by Karla and Mark (aren't they wonderful?). Reggie is a lovely, friendly, affectionate (small) lurcher - all the boys were jealous though - he has a truely MASSIVE pair of knackers - we girls were well impressed, especially when he let us sniff them. (Even TJ was impressed. He talked about them all the way home..... SJ couldn't wait to get out of the car.)
I heard Sammy telling Reggie that he too was safe now and that he would be happy for the rest of his life. Sammy is a wise dog - Reggie listened.....
So there was 15 dogs and 6 two-leggers. We had a hoot. We were let off lead in the dog inclosure - great fun. Dex and Bodhi are sooooo fast. And Darcy had a good run too. Reggie just kept running around showing his b*ll**ks off. TJ said to Mark that if his own plums were so impressive then he too would run around in a field showing them off. Mark went off to speak to Jim at this point.....
Sammy and me had a play too. It was just great.
All too soon it was time to go home (
When we got back - TJ went to pick EK and GJM up - they are staying for the week. They were pleased to see us. We all had a play in the garden. And then a good sleep.
I love my new life. The SLR people deserve medals.....
TJ, however, deserves a slap round the head according to SJ.

Anyway, big kisses to you Suki - you is one sexy girlie.

Reggie looks like he's a male version of Tia Maria. When that coat regrows, he'll be shiny and stunning. Shame about the plums but there's no point growing them if they're not for picking.

Poor Reggie!! As for the food thing, Ginny was like a thing possessed around food to begin with, but settled down once she'd put weight on and realised food wasn't in short supply. Like you say Karla, it's just a matter of feeding them separately. I ended up being able to feed all 3 at the same time, which initially I just didn't think would ever happen.

wonderful to see Reggie joining in the fun with all of his friends he may be tiny but he looks like he has such a big personality and hopefully he can put all the bad things of the past behind him and just enjoy the future, hope things calm down with his food worries once he realises he will be fed often and doesn't have to go hungry now ever again, wishing him all the best and hope he continues to do really well

I absolutely love that blog entry Sally, made Mark & I laugh out loud... ;D ;D Thanks for a great day yesterday TM's & Hunters not only did we (two-leggers) have a great day but I think it was invaluable to see how Reggie reacted to all them hounds during the day and besides the *cough* humping issues he was as good as gold and seemed to really enjoy himself. Little man is off to the vet's tonight to see how his skin is doing and also to see if we can get him booked in to remove them there plums
