My lurcher loved raw food, especially the turkey necks and wings and chicken wings. I get my food in bulk and share it out with other dog owners, this lad will do well on faw food and bones if he is given some.

Sunny is still waiting for his own sofa, and he is still perfect. He is definitely the best and most well behaved foster dog we've had here by far, even better behaved than laid back Ellie. He is clean, gentle, relaxed, calm, will sleep all day, is happy all day, nothing phases him. He mixes fine with our boys now (but we'd still like a girly for him or by himself) Never barks or cries, NEVER counter surfs or bin raids, loves all people, eats his food, loves his cuddles, likes to potter, answers to his name and always stays nearby out walking. Joggers, fine; cyclists, fine; traffic, fine. We did attempt a cat test- he did seem quite alert and interested but the cat wasn't playing ball and ran off right away, so it's hard to say. We can try again for a prospective home, he's seems much less keen out and about than most of our fosters. Sunny is so easy and happy, and we love him, but he's more than ready to move on now. We though we might have quite a project on our hands, but it turns out all he really needed was to be away from kennels and he improved 100%. He really is so good and takes everything in his stride, he will settle very easily and quickly into a new home. There is nothing more to be done for Sunny, he honestly doesn't need us anymore; he was already a well behaved pet when he came here. Now all he needs is his special family to bond with and take him home for good. (And once Sunny has his forever home we'll be able to help a new little one that isn't a perfect pet yet and needs us to help them get there. )

Beautiful pics of Sunny. He would look great in a pair of shades to help with the squinting! I am really taken with this lad and cannot believe there have been no applications. As a first-time lurcher, he would be perfect, and as an addition to an existing pack he would add a real mellow tone. I wish I could take him on as he is scrummy!

Sorry to hear about your loss, Luckydarling. I am in love with both Sunny and Gyp. Might you want a younger hound if Sunny goes? Never a replacement and always a lovely new friend who will bring different joys to your life. Good luck with your future search.

I was going to wait until tomorrow, (when we've arranged a meet up day) to announce this, but I can't keep it to myself! Sunny has a lovely new mummy and elderly lurcher lady waiting to meet him and take him home , where he'll have his own sofa to sleep on, lots of cuddles and lovely woodland walks. We couldn't be more chuffed- we wanted a quiet, adult home (with a sofa ) and ideally an older lady hound to potter around with, and that's exactly what we've found. ;D ;D We'll be speaking to her again tomorrow to arrange a pick up, hopefully on monday. We think Sunny will be very happy- this one really is PERFECT.
