pleased to say that Holly and Phinn had a great first night no worries or problems and woke up happy and cheerful today, they settled in for an early night at about 9:30 and seemed quite tired. They had a toilet time at 3 in the night and were up bright and bouncy at 6 this morning, Holly seemed alot more confident and more at ease this morning she was was bouncing around the living room encouraging Phinn to a bit of fun lurcher play and she seems alot more confident and waggy tailed since last night She did look a little sad and worried in her eyes yesterday and a bit confused but today she is much brighter and happier they have enjoyed two walks today so far, they seem quite happy to go out little and often rather than for huge hikes, Holly still likes to take things slowly and potter along at her own pace, Phinn is eager to get back home quickly, Phinn still loves to chill out most of the time on the sofa its his favourite place and he sits and stares at me with his "come to me for a cuddle2 eyes lol he wants you to just cuddle and fuss him all day long lol Holly is getting alot more confident and kissed me for the first time today they met my brother for the first time today, Holly is quite taken with him lol Phinn isn't so sure of him yet. We also met a neighbour on the way back from their walk and they said hello nicely and enjoyed the fuss, Holly liked the attention but Phinn seemed a bit more unsure and looked to us to say it was ok bless him they are both really chilled out around the house and are happy to settle themselves and snooze . Holly is still choosing to sit on the beds on the floor i hope she will feel relaxed enough to join Phinn on the sofa if she wants to, i think she does!! lol she is more busy in the house and interested in what is going on and Phinnjust likes to lie on the sofa and rest lol it is such a credit to Eve just how well behaved , friendly and gentle they both are, they are so lovely and easy to look after and a pleasure to have here we promise they are ok Eve, they are all fed, walked and ok, just having a little mi day rest and snooze will get Matt to put some photos up for you to see them soon as promised they both send you you a huge hug and a xx

just a quick update on Holly and Phin, they are both doing really well, such good house guests you would hardly know they are here, Holly is on her quilt at my feet as i type snoring lol and Phin is watching me from the sofa both snuggled up and very relaxed and content they are both being so so good, no problems whatsoever, so well mannered and laid back , lovely dogs. It is a pleasure to have them here and they are getting more used to us now. We are getting them into a bit of a routine now, although they are so easy going and adaptable they don't mind if you vary it a bit each day. After the first day Holly perked up alot, wasn't so timid and her sunny personality started to shine through, she is very cheerful and bounces around when she is happy, every now nd then she has a mad five minutes and runs around lol she loves all people, and likes both men and women equally, she is quite a real foody, loves her treats and likes to be nearby when you are eating and cooking to see what is about but she hasn't counter surfed or anything , she just likes to watch and she thinks she is being cheeky if she can share your yogurt pot to lick it clean lol Phinn is not so food oriented, he will happily let Holly eat first and eat his biscuit he doesn't mind if she has hers first, he is very polite and gentle With her, they both take treats very nicely and gently and wait very patiently for their feeds. Holly likes a cuddle when she asks for one she will come and lean on you and tell you she wants some affection when she feels like it. Phinn always wants a cuddle!c he would love to be cuddled all day long, and we would say is not so sure of new people, he is a bit wary of strangers, just shy and unsure and looks to us to reassure him, he seems to prefer a one to one relationship and would bond more with one particular person in the house rather than lots of people , he seems to like one person looking after him. Phinn is just so laid back and calm, he is happy once he has been for a walk, eaten and then just happy to jump on the sofa and snuggle down Holly is more of a busy body in the house and likes to see what is going on and watch us they are getting to know the loccal area and enjoying their walks, Phinn did get a bit hesitant at first if he didn't know where we were and recognise the routes we were on and would get to a certain point in the walk and tried to turn back and head back the way we had come to get home and seemed a bit anxious, but now we are trying to familiarise him with the same routes he is getting his bearings and realising we will be getting back and relaxing and enjoying himself and his surroundings, they have met a few local dogs now and were very friendly and sociable Phinn especially enjoyed meeting dogs and wanting to play they all enjoyed sharing a gravy bone or two this morning with their new mate Gizmo the golden retriever and have also made friends with Woody the lurcher from the park, one of Toby's old friends they are very good at night, just happy to curl up aslong as they have been in the garden last thing and in the mornings are happy to wait until you are ready for a walk to go out, they are so accepting and adaptable they would fit well with any routine you had . Holly even decided to have a cuddle with Phinn on the sofa twice which was lovely she has to be encouraged that she can get up ther and it is ok she looks worried if she is allowed to but it was lovely she felt able to Phinn doesn't need any encouragement to lol he has claimed it as his own lol they are doing really well considering they have only been here a few days, both very loving, affectionate and gentle, you can enjoy them as they are so friendly and placid, two really delightful dogs, they are like twins lol and are just perfect together

I can say with my hand on my heart that we had no cat issues when we walked post any outside . I would not be able to talk about actually living with cats.

Holly and Phin have left the building!! Now to be called Kevin and Klara, they have just set off on their big journey to their new home, they loved their new mummy and daddy, they are going to have the most wonderful , fun, exciting life down in Hampshire, they are going to get sooo much love and attention and be absolutely doted on! we know they will be so well looked after, cared for and have the best life a dog could wish for it was very very hard for us letting them go, but they happily climbed into their new car and settled in, we waved them off, both my mum and I in tears( it is my mum's birthday today too but the best birthday present she could wish for its to see them happy) I kissed them goodbye and told them to be good!! ;D we know they will! it was so sad when they both looked back at me when they drove off, bless them They have the most wonderful new mum and dad in Suzanne and Colin, and they have promised to keep in touch and send some photos! so now we will have a good cry and wonder what we did with our time before they came along to spend a few fun filled weeks in Kent, it felt like they had been here forever and we have learnt alot from our first fostering experience , it was very rewarding and although we are upset and will miss them the house feels so empty now already!! we know they have got the most amazing home possible, be happy Klara and Kevin, we love you! xx

thank you Audrey but we really didn't do anything for them other than the basic care and keep them together , we had our ups and downs but the highs far outweighed the lows! it was so worthwhile and it was a privilege to have them in our lives for 3weeks, we treated them as we would our own, but we knew in our hearts they weren't "ours" and they were waiting for the ideal home for them to come along, they have now found it! we can assure Eve they will both be so so loved, and adored and will be fine once they settle and get to know their new family. we already miss them but we went for a lovely beach walk with them last night and again this morning, and made the most of the last day together, they are both such lovely, friendly happy dogs, we are looking forward to the updates and photos too, they are going to live right beside the beach in Hayling Island, it sounds idyllic!

I second that. You have done a great job. And it wasn't easy. Don't undersell yourselves, you should be so proud and now they have a fantastic home. Thank you so much Joy for homechecking this one as an urgent. And you get to see them as they are so near to you, and they get themselves another home with a beach. Result. ;D
