Oh bless him, curled up in his bed safe and loved. And bearing no grudges despite his start in life. Quite an impressive scar on his leg, but good to hear he is starting to heal now. His physio will certainly keep you occupied. Sleep well little Skip. You are uber cute!

Well I think Skip has turned a corner in the healing process and has decided he wants to recover. For the last three days I've been quite worried about him but today, for the first time, I've just got the feeling that he's on the mend He was very shutdown and dopey but he's definitely brightened up a lot over the last 18 hours and he's developed the appetite of a horse (He's also developed the vocal talents of Leona Lewis which resulted in me spending another night on the sofa ) There's been a distinct improvement in his leg too. He's carrying more weight on it, the bruising has reduced and the scar is knitting nicely, despite his best efforts to pull the stitches out. So, all in all, a very positive day

So sorry to have left you to it Donna, Mark and Christina. He is a stunning little chap. And his progress is eagerly being followed by his rescuers Kitty and Sally. He looks another little "cracker". I'll be back in the swing of things when I catch up. God bless all of you for this. I'm afraid he isn't the last, we have a new one, head trauma, huge scar waiting to come in tomorrow

We could not have wished for a better update on this little boy. Viviane. X PS: Hope you get a chance to move from your sofa into your bed tonight.....

I was chuffed to bits that you did leave us to it - it meant you trusted us Plus you had more time to help another needy hound. Thanks everyone for the kind words and encouragement - it's not why we do it but it sure does help

A horrible story but no doubt with a happy ending, well done all of you that have cared for this little chap. Mark and Donna, you are great, we know first hand [from Saffie] how you help these troubled pouches to 'unload their baggage' and you put sparkle back in their eyes. Skip will be another good job done very soon. Rgds The Chard Crew

;D Way to go little man. God in that last one he looks so much like Pablo. We've noticed the likeness several times Jenny - he's even got the ears I think he might be a bit better endowed in the brains department though

'Tis lovely to read such positive updates on the little chap - these Lurchers never cease to amaze with their ability to bounce back from whatever hardships fate throws at them.
Once again, many thanks Donna & Mark for opening your hearts & your home to the wee lad.
Barney x
