Little Nell was rehomed to a lovely couple through a mixed rescue. But the husband now has a degenerative illness and they are finding it hard having two dogs with Nell still being only about 15 months old. Nell is a lovable, loyal girlie and only a littlun. She is a Cross lurcher of whippet mix and some collie in there in the past. Nell travels well, loves everyone and all dogs and is neutered. Nell, hopefully, will be coming into SLR for fostering in Essex.

You can see how well loved she is in the photos - just look at the shine on that coat! My thoughts are with her poor Mum and Dad

Aw what a little cutie! It must be so hard for her parents to give her up on top of everything else She looks a little like a mini version the dog of my parents friends that I took a big shine to when I was little.....also called Nell

Could be one for me, can someone try her around cats when she comes in ? I'm sure I can train a dog not to chase the neighbours' cats, I've done it before, but need to know she is not a REAL anti-cat-fiend!
Feel though that if a dog is child-friendly I should pass, and wait for one of those poor dogs which need a one-to-one home (or at least no kids and other dogs)

So sorry that she has to leave her home - best wishes to her owners. She looks a beauty and will find another loving home very quickly, I am sure.

What a darling...in the picture where you get a back view of her shiny coat she looks like our little Rosie's twin! So I think there must be quite a lot of collie - or at least, welsh sheepdog in there!

Little Nel was handed over to her new mum this mornign at the Cockfosters meeting. A very emotional moment for her relinquishing owners, who have loved her very much. And lovely to meet Janice, who immediately took to her, and Nel to Janice, with lots of kisses and licks. All the best little Nel. Be happy with your new mum and happy retirement Janice, and happy dog owning. But you always will be OWNED by a Lurcher girlie.
