Today will be at Gracie's pace as her tummy was a little upset after the upheaval - nothing to worry about Barney, just nerves. Whoops!! I knew that there was summat I'd forgotten to tell you Suz - Gracie, in common with my lot, all had Asda Beef & Pork mince on Sunday, which they loved, but every single one of them had the squits yesterday, even Winnie, who has a cast iron stomach! This product will not be purchased again!

Gracie took her mum and dad for a walk tonight and I am pleased to say her tummy is better. Boy did I feel for you Barney one little girl with a bad tummy was enough jojo I promise to give Gracie a sqidge from yourself and badger, she absolutely loves cuddles and we also enjoy them too, so we have been having family huddles on the sofa Mum visited today and presented Gracie with a very lovely ball and rope thingy which Gracie looked at for 5 seconds and ignored. Shhhhhhhh dont tell mum but I might have to pretend we have had many hours of fun, I will just rough up the edges a bit Cheeky I know Thanks Barney I will remember to keep off the pork and beef mince, Gracie says she would eat it all again no probs

This morning Gracie woke us up at 5.25am but I am not silly I had prepared for this eventuality and went to bed at 10! Unfortunately my dear Paul didn't so we had moans and groans and grumps which just made both Gracie and I have more fun jumping on the bed ;D) So we sneaked out at 6am and went to Palm Bay walked the cliff tops (Gracie on the lead) looking out to sea and feeling very free - especially as I am off work this week I would love to post Gracie on beach piccies but I don't know how. I have found the add image button above message box but symbols appear and not sure what next stage would be. Did notice something this morning which just seemed a bit more than general excitement of walkies - Gracie used the full force of her body to bolt out of the car when we arrived for the walk, but Gracie doesn't know her new mum, also known as hawk eye, very good at reading doggie expressions, I am all sure you know what I mean. A little twinkle in Gracie's eye that sort of means ha I'll show you. By the way you will have to tell me when to stop jabbering about Gracie as it must be like the full force of a waterfall Can't wait to meet Guinness, badger, Harlow hooligans and of course Jenny's bunch and all other loving lurchers - nice to meet mums and dads too

Many thanks for the update Suz - trust that Paul has recovered from his rude awakening! ;D Gracie wasn't a particularly early riser during her time here - it must be the sea air!
Please post as much as you like about wee Gracie - all of us love to read about the antics of other members' dogs.
Regarding posting photos on the forum, you're not the first to have problems getting to grips with the method - have a look at the invaluable guide supplied by Jules, (Fabapocalypse), near the top of the General Chat section - "Posting photos and video to the board." In the meantime please feel free to email any pics to myself or Jenny, & we'll be delighted to post them for you.

Well a bad start to the night Gracie came into our bedroom telling us she wasn't happy with the sleeping arrangements so we moved her bed into our room and told her that she would have to stay on her bed and guess what ............. it worked ;D All night as good as gold, she obviously likes to be near her mum and dad This morning Gracie took her mum and dad again to the beach this time with camera. First time off lead but she wouldn't leave my side So I picked up a chalk stone and threw it to see what reaction and nothing happened. So we walked and she stayed by my side, occasionally standing in front to block my way I then threw another stone and she went into super drive What a beautiful sight to see I couldn't stop laughing, but then she stopped short and came back to my side as though she was nervous about the freedom. A little jumpy at times. Do you think this is just a confidence thing? I thought I may take her to the same spot every morning to build up the same friends and keep things quite structured Any tips welcome. Paul got some lovely shots which we will post later.

Do you think this is just a confidence thing? Yup - the little sweetheart has had a lot of changes in her life recently, & is probably a tad confused, so she's making sure she doesn't lose the Mum & dad who have given her such a lovely home.

Oh bless her cotton socks Sounds like Gracie loves her new mummy & daddy with all her heart Badger is the same with me, he always checks to see that I'm there when he is off lead. That is apart from when he is walking with the dastardly duo Tag & Milo then he stays between Mummy chook or my legs until Tag has had his mad half hour ;D Ooh don't you just love that rascal of a hound Once they calm down he is much more confident with his mates for company. So yes definately get her friendly with new hounds they love the safety in numbers

Well we have bonded so much I think I will hand my notice in at work, I cant bear to leave her Paul will be here but its not the same, how am I going to cope Anyone offer me a job that means I can bring my little girl Gracie with me Oh well I suppose its back to the no hoper, the lottery Thank you for the comments on the photos yes Paul is very gifted with his camera. Gracie has now settled in so well and yesterday raised a cheesy grin for us which had us in stitches. Walks are a joy, but I did notice that what was originally said in her thread, that she can be quite rough with small dogs, is quite true. Gracie met Poppy a jack russell puppy and for the first 5 minutes ignored her. Poppy jumped up and still Gracie ignored her, but then Gracie felt it was time to play I think her game could be called rag doll So after we watched for a few minutes to gauge where this was heading, Poppy's mum and I both agreed that it was more than a puppy could endure, when flying isn't their thing! I think our princess wants respect, and she does deserve it, so we moved on pretty sharpish, once I peeled her off ;D

Sounds like the wee lass is finding her feet ;D Don't it melt your heart when they grin at you Best keep her with sturdy dogs Lurcher play can be very unnerving for those not used to it. I nearly had heart failure when Badger, Tag & Milo first played infront of me. Now it's just water off a ducks back

'Tis lovely to hear how Gracie's settling in Suz. She showed amazing patience waiting a whole five minutes before putting Poppy in her place - I don't think any of my lot would have waited for more than five seconds! Well we have bonded so much I think I will hand my notice in at work, I cant bear to leave her Paul will be here but its not the same, how am I going to cope Anyone offer me a job that means I can bring my little girl Gracie with me Yup, you can come & work full time at SLR - 'tis a very fulfilling job, the downside being that your bank manager probably wouldn't be overly impressed on learning that your annual salary, (including bonuses that are strictly non-quantifiable in financial terms), amounts to £Zilch!! ;D ;D ;D

Oh dear I think I will very sadly have to give that lovely job offer a miss It sounds fantastic, Gracie with me all the time, but no money ummmm a difficult one that Glad to know that lurcher play is generally rough, in that case small dogs beware here comes our Gracie ;D Left on her own today for the first time without both of us for about an hour and a half and nothing but happy vibes on our return.
