I was thinking of you as well Paula. Mr. Alfie McVitie has had a lovely outing to the dog's favourite place, Pets at Home. Are we there yet mum? Nearly Alfie McV. Are we there? Nearly Alfie McV Is that it mum? Yes Alfie McV ;D We're there Tag! Yep. Been there, done that, last week and week before and... First we had a wee break. And we walked with the traffic. No probs. He is solid in traffic. Which way, this way, no that way, no this way... Oh My God, there's a guinea pig. Hello guinea pig. Mmm, nice smell Do I get a toy, do I, do I? He was like a child in a sweet shop. Look at this, look at that, but all so politely. He met a toddler and wagged and sniffed her face and she chuckled, so he wagged more. Didn't get that one on camera, we were too busy laughing Shopping done, just time to check out the bag. He sampled a few freebies on the floor Went down to the vets at the back and was weighed. He has put on half a kilo in two days, so steadily getting there. ;D Alfie, Milo and Tag then returned home in the back of the car all snuggled up. He travels so well. Alfie is an all round lovely dog.

I'm shaking as I type this having just been back on after a very broken week of internet.
I can't believe how rough this boy's life has been till now. Curse them, curse them, curse them very very roundly. If there is any justice in this world at all truly awful things will happen to them.
And bless him, isn't he beautiful. Poor poorly precious boy. Big hugs from me and mine to you beautiful Alfie McV. And to you Jenny for being there for him. I know we all would be, but you ARE.
I'm sorry to be alone right now, as I'm really distressed by him.

Hopefully we can see if he might be cat friendly shortly. Well he had his second Dermocaine bath today and he enjoyed it. I think he felt so much relief at the last one that he was quite willing to have this one. Alfie is a total poppet. Here are some piccies of him today. I know he still looks sore, but he is 1000 percent better than Thursday. He is off to Anil tomorrow for another checkup. He is soooo lovely. Just fitted in with the Symmons pack. After his bath today hardly any itching or chewing. Alfie is finally at peace.

Had the pleasure of meeting this gorgeous boy today. He is so calm and very loving after the awful life he has been subjected to. Someone out there is going to be very lucky adopting this lovely young lad.

Oops, sorry, had so much on today. He doesn't have mange. Anil is happy with his progress. He has 5 more days of antibiotics and baths ahead. He was microchipped today but no vax as he has had enough chemicals pumped into him over the last few days. So relieved that he don't have to worry about our dogs now. All were wormed, but happy to say that no worms came out of any of them. We will be worming Alfie in the next couple of days. Just want him to have a little more time to recoup. He met a cat at the vets and I can safely say that he is cat respectful. He approached the cat basket to have a look and the cat hissed, sending him backwards in fear. He respectfully stayed away. ;D Alfie Will not be able to be neutered for a few weeks yet, and may well be rehomed with a neutering agreement when he is settled and feeling much fitter.
Ollie came round this afternoon with Helen, Rowan and Hannah and apart from a first growl, saying this is my home for now, he was good with 0llie. Ollie said hello to the pack and waggy tails continued.
We have a couple of home offers for Alfie and they will be followed up.
Judy came round this afternoon and we walked the boys. What we have found is that he isn't keen on Jack Russell terriers. Could be that he has been housed with them - this can only be guessed. But he does growl at them when he sees them. Nothing major, just a "I don't like them" growl.
Early days yet.
