Aaaawww, looks like he loves his new mum already. Well done on a great, if short, fostering job Christine, and sending hugs for managing to let him go.

The lovely Frankie has gone off to his forever home with Nick and Angie. He's going to have a wonderful life with them, with lots of love and a big garden and field to run and play. They are the perfect family for this very special boy. He was one of those that was really hard to say goodbye to.... it's going to be a tearful evening with lots of tissues already. It's at times like these that I wonder why I do this Bless you missus, and you know Nick and Angie have been in this exact same position before when fostering for us. But he is a lucky boy. xxx

Well done - brilliant news and in one week. Is this a record? I don't know if it's a record, but little Frankie is one adorable little man so it's no surprise that he was snapped up, and by the best family he could wish for.

Wow...I knew Christine was great at training dogs but teaching a dog to cook is a whole new level! 😂 Great news all round. Well done for letting him go Christine, if somewhat reluctantly...hugs. Congratulations Nick and Angie. Be happy Frankie 💞

Brilliant work . . . . . by Frankie! Those cute looks into the camera got attention very quickly. So pleased SLR and Christine (what a hero!) were there to take him in last weekend after the young man stopped (another hero) to help him. I am sure he will have a wonderful life wrapping Nick and Angie round his paw.

Thank you everyone for your kind comments and wishes. Frankie spent the night in between us on the bed, sleeping, roaching, trying to catch his tail and batting our faces with his cute little paws (which smell a bit, you know the smell). Mainly sleeping though, as he was knackered after his long journey and big supper. (Thanks Christine, he had a whole tub as he lost all his breakfast in the car). He's very perky today, between sleeps, and feeling pretty pleased with himself for some reason, as he keeps trying to play. I don't think he's had much experience at playing, particularly by himself, as he's no idea what to do. After a week of Christine's expert care, he's getting a bit of unaccustomed energy at times and wants to try playing, but just chews at a leg or two, has a grab at his tail as it passes, and puppy mouths my fingers if they happen to be within reach, then runs up the stairs and back down. After which he looks a bit sheepish as if to say 'just checking, thought I heard something moving about up there'. He's intrigued by the squeaky toys but not quite brave enough to have a go yet. He likes the big twisted rope ones and has been flying up and down stairs trailing it along with him. He has the most endearing way of furrowing his brow when concentrating or thinking about something. He has a lot to think about at the moment as everything is so new. He does a lot of leaning and is incredibly affectionate and wriggly, just as Christine predicted. He sleeps a lot in between everything though. he's lying against my leg as I type having a dream, whatever it's about demands a lot of yipping and ear flapping. He's not a good traveller as Christine warned us, but he did quite well this morning for the 2 miles to my storage unit and back, wasn't actually sick or anything worse, just dribbling quite a bit. Took him for a 40min walk down the canal to the harbour in between, he had to stay on lead of course but still saw some bunnies and seagulls which 'interested' him, I think would be the polite way of describing it. Maybe a bit too long a walk as he was shattered when we got home, poor boy. Breakfast and a drink sorted him out. I'm hoping short journeys with exciting things at each end will help him get over his car sickness but there's no rush. We'll keep him on three meals a day, and extra tidbits inbetween, until he's a more healthy weight . He demolished one of his marrowbone chunks today, that kept him busy for ages! (Thamks again Christine!) He's very appealing, and VERY good, if you ignore the ever present danger of him stealing your meal that is. Just one little accident before he got the hang of the dog flap and already he just goes out whenever he needs to. He's taking it quite slowly, but he looks very pleased whenever he's clambered in or out, and gets lots of praise. It's a lot bigger than he is! What a little star. Thank you SLR for this little treasure, after so suddenly losing both our much adored girls, Tig & Lottie, within 16 days of each other, our world seemed to have fallen apart. Having Frankie is already helping enormously. He won't replace them of course, but will be much loved in his own right and will fill that hole in our lives caused by lack of loved hound companions. And to the chap who stopped to pick him up off the road, hats off to you mate, I owe you one, bigtime. nighty night Nick
