Another lovely update. She sounds a real heartbreaker. She's going to be a tough one to let go, for sure. X

You are being a wonderful foster mum for Poppy, Loz (and Andy a good Dad too). This will give her such a great start to the next phase of her life when she finds her forever home. And very impressed with Lizzie and Alfie (one of my bullie faves) welcoming little Poppy in so nicely.

Alfies's understandably being a nuisance with Poppy's season, but he can't help that, bless him. We've seen a side to Lizzie we weren't expecting, she's being a sweetie, although she sometimes needs some time out. But this morning we were amazed when Pops and Lizzie had a bit of play (poor Alfie had to be removed from proceedings, the play police wasn't happy, lol).

Whenever my foster dogs go I realise how special it was having them. Enjoy it while you have her Loz. She’ll be snapped up by some lucky person before you know it and you’ll miss her hugely.

I've just found the pictures of your little Fannie Annie and she's so similar to Poppy in size and I think you could be right Keef. Follow your head, I promise your heart won't be far behind. Poppy definitely needs a well matched play mate, and she picked Lizzie yesterday. It was funny and terrifying at the same time as we've never seen Lizzie engage in proper doggy play before.

Poppy joined Alfie in a game of tug yesterday evening. I had to hold the snake in the middle because Alfie gives it a right old shake which would have the potential to hurt her, but she had great fun. She gave it her all and didn't want to let him win. When she wanted to play before bed last night and because I'd forgotten to bring lamby up, I gave her one of my teddies. Just 5 mins of play and she was pooped, so took herself off to her crate and went to bed. We've been practicing 'sit' a bit more over the last couple of days and Poppy's getting better and better. She really likes my home made dehydrated treats! I popped into the Cats Protection shop today and picked up a blue penguin toy for 50p. I gave it to her when I got home and she went mad for it, even ignoring my treats to play with it instead. It's an ugly thing...no accounting for taste, lol.

I meet a very nice lady with a French Bulldog quiet often on our walks, and when I saw her yesterday, she offered me a fleece coat for Poppy. It used to belong to her previous dog, a staffie, and she's been hanging on to it just in case. She gave it to me this morning and it's a lovely black Equafleece, and with the belt fully adjusted as small as it will go, fits lovely. Such a kind gesture.
