We did find Ollie that special home. A lovely family who I met on Sunday at the Hamsphire walk.
Sadly, their first dog Louie and Ollie didn't settle together and it was felt better for both dogs that they parted.
No harm done. Both still loving, happy dogs and Ollie will now go into foster with Sian and Andrew in Hampshire.

Tremendous, he's such a lovely lad, we so enjoyed having him to stay - can't wait to see him again on our next walk and meet his new folks xx

As some of you know Ollie's new home sadly didnt work out, so Andrew and I (and Leonard) have taken him in on a foster basis for the time being so i want to keep this page updated for him.
He and Leonard are getting along well, playing together the usual lurcher games with garden boxing, zoomies and bitey face! Then both have slept soundly all night in the kitchen and this morning Ollie actually gave us until 7am rather thank the 6am wakeup call we had on wednesday!
Ollie walks well on his lead with the help of a halti harness as he does pull a little, not in a naughty way, just more in a very keep fast walking way. No off lead time yet, as im waiting to make sure the cows in the secure field near us are definitely gone for the autumm/winter before we work on longer distance recall.
He's going to have a little op to remove a small lump on his paw on wednesday. None of the vets he has seen are sure what it is, but it is causing him a bit of discomfort so we've all decided it's best to get rid. With me luck trying to keep him calm with Leonard While he heals!

Great news that Ollie is sleeping a bit longer now.....at this rate by the end of the week he'll be still in bed at noon. Wishing him all the best with his op, and also the best of luck with keeping him and Leonard calm afterwards.

Thank you Sian and Andrew for offering to look after Ollie, he is truly adorable and we miss him so much. We fostered him for seven months and were so sad to hear his forever home didn't work out but onwards and upwards, he will find that sofa that has his name on it! Give him a big big hug from us, and hope his operation goes well. He's quite brave for a Lurcher at the vets although I am sure he will do 'sad face' with a bandage on 😉. Xx

Ollie is doing really well, he's the most easy going dog ever! Totally chilled out, happy to play, but also happy to snooze on the sofa too. Leonard is a complete wind up merchant, always provoking play, but they're well matched. Ollie took a liking to the antler that Leonard has, so I went and got a second one as they weren't very good at sharing - They both always want whichever one the other one has of course, its funny watching them chew for a while then swap! I took them both to the enclosed field in Lakeside today, now that the grazing cattle have gone for the summer, and they both enjoyed some off lead chasing - each other and pheasants! My aim was to do a bit of recall training with them both, and cut up hot dogs have proved a very effective bribe, Ollie did very well coming back and sitting for a piece of hotdog multiple times. Here are some photos:
