Hello All
I just want to let everyone know how well Reggie is settling into life with us,I'm grateful to Ruth for updating with some photos and info already. I am eternally grateful to her for everything she has done for Reggie and how hard she has worked with him. He is an absolutely adorable hound,so easy to love and a joy to share a home with. He is fun, gentle, clever,a real character and absolutely the fastest dog I have ever seen in my life! His turn of pace is something else!
I was really unwell for his first week, which was rubbish timing but Tom has been walking him and doing everything around the house. So I've been bonding with Reggie by snuggling and who knew that Lurcher kisses are the best medicine! Mostly better now,so out and about and running around with my tiger boy. My eldest daughter comes on most walks and was very chuffed that Reggie found her a Rat Skull yesterday! It's very rural here,so all muddy woods and fields,he avoids the muddiest parts(is that a sighthound thing?)... He is going on a wild walk with Tom tomorrow and a play date with a jug(?) little dog. I'm slightly concerned about the massive hares they may encounter but he won't be off lead at all yet,so that's okay!
Reggie loves the kids(although has tried to adopt a few of their toys, despite having his own well stocked toy box!)... My 4 year old has taught him to fetch and he likes going into my eldest daughter's bedroom to say goodnight before he goes to bed(he can't make it up to the loft room where our big boy sleeps- he's a moody pre-teen yet Reggie is still happy to see him every time he walks into the room! My youngest calls him 'doggy' and talks randomness to him. Very cute and funny! So many moments that have brought joy already and it's only been a week and a half!
We all feel very lucky to have Reggie in our family. Thank you Jenny for finding him for us and Thank you Ruth for so so much!
Love Hollie (DogMama) x
I need to work out how to put photos on here... Hold on!

Lovely update Hollie. So pleased Reggie has joined your family and is being so loved. We'll have to organise a walk at Greenham or somewhere to introduce Reggie to Zephyr and Lilly.
